悪くはないけど、よくもない

So today we have a radio rip of Perfume's new single song, and a like split-second teaser for the PV.

:/

:/:/:/:/:/

It doesn't sound like Perfume, and not just in that the style of the song is different from their previous songs. Most of the vocals don't really sound much like them to me, and for most of the vocals it sounds like it could've been one person doing the vocals and not three people. I've seen a couple people comment that it sounds closer to "natural" or that they can hear their voices more, but I can't hear where. Their voices are just as edited as they always are, but somehow less distinct than they normally are. In most of their songs, I can recognize distinct voices (even if I don't know who's who), but in this song, I can only hear distinct voices a little in the Japanese parts.

It doesn't sound horrible, but it does sound like a generic American club song. It's disappointing. :< Ah well, the PV will probably still be interesting, and I like what I've heard of the B-sides, so having pre-ordered the single doesn't feel like a waste. And I will get the poster bonus, which with this single should be very pretty.

rant, music, perfume
