In retrospect it was possibly not smart to embark on this right before moving across the globe...
using the prompts below, write a drabble (or whatever) a day for the next 30 days. find someone willing to hit you if you miss a day. look back at the end and go ‘oh! i’m a writer!’.

The wind ruffles Rigel’s hair as he surveys the pitch. Gryffindor’s behind, no surprise, the Slytherin Chasers are bloody good - but that doesn’t mean they’re going to lose. If they can get the Snitch, they can still win.
That isn’t Rigel’s job. What is Rigel’s job is to take out the Slytherin Seeker. He’d feel a bit bad about it - kid’s twelve, it’s her first game - but Valent has been hunting the Gryffindor Seeker the entire bloody time so he doesn’t, not really.
There’s the bludger - time to play -
“Marius,” he calls to his counterpart, and swings the bat.

You can’t order someone to care. You can order someone to pretend, but it’s not the same, and you end up feeling worse in the end. It’s one of the first lessons Mizuki learnt after her sister disappeared.
The worst part is sometimes people take things as orders when they shouldn’t, just because Mizuki is the princess, so she’s also learnt to be very careful about what she asks from the servants.
Perhaps that’s why she likes training with the Blades so much. The trainers are used to her brother, and Akane wouldn’t pretend to care even if Mizuki ordered it. It’s refreshing.
