Man Is War
That's right, I said it. Man. Is. War.
I'm sick of people complaining about this piddling ass little excuse for a war that's going on right now. Just a little over 1000 Americans died. More than that die each year from pneumonia...so get over yourselves. American lives, are not more important than the thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children who were being slaughtered every year by Saddam.
Yes...the president sent us in on false pretenses...but the same can pretty much be said about us going in during WWII against Hitler when all the American's wanted in against the Japanese. Guess who the real enemy was.
This is going to horribly alienate all of those non Judeo-Christian's out there...but I'm saying it anyway...
If the angels in Heaven waged war, what chance do we have as men?
We are not superior. We are always self-serving...and so long as there is something material in this world that everyone wants...THERE WILL BE CONFLICT, and most likely, WAR.
I do not condone war and killing, but I would like to know what it is that everyone is afraid of in this war. Why do we call war evil? Is it the war that is evil or people in it? Are we afraid of killing other's, or do we simply value those 1000 American lives more than the Iraqi lives that were being persecuted for years.
Saddam Hussein IS a bad guy. SO are a lot of people. There's nothing wrong with making an example of one bad guy to show the rest. I'd rather someone get punished than no one at all.
WAR IS A LAST RESORT, THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!
If you lose 1000 lives fighting a war, but thousands more are destroyed without it, then guess what, kid's, we're going to war. To avoid at all costs encompasses a Hell of a lost more than people realize...so it's stupid to assume that war should be avoided at all costs.
NO! I DO NOT LIKE WAR. I DO NOT AGREE THAT IT IS THE BEST SOLUTION, NOR THAT IT IS EASILY JUSTIFIED. I DON'T EVEN REALLY BELIEVE THIS WAR CAN BE JUSTIFIED.
However, I do believe that SOME people are not smart, logical, or rational enough to realize otherwise. Sometimes you do have to sink to someone's level. Why else would cops in one district act differently from cops of another district. Cops in L.A. and New York City are a Hell of a lot meaner than cops in Beverly Hills and Santa Clarita. There are levels of appropriate behavior with some people. That means yes, we occasionally get off our high horse and fight. IT HAPPENS.

Man is the evil, not the abstraction he uses to embody a series of actions that allow one group to destroy and/or defeat another.
