life on the mississippi
so its been a while since i've updated (its christine). i felt like it. i think i shall make a list of things that have been going down.
this summer has been pretty swell so far. right now i'm living alone which, to my great suprise, totally rules.
basically, my summer pretending to be huck finn is working out nicely. i've had multiple (well ok 2) people visit me and we've bided our time here in ohio picking cherries, blueberries, going on walks at midnight, going to see movies in the park, baseball games, playing in creeks, etc etc. i work in the burrito industry so i am in constant supply of excellent food and a couple days a week i work in a darkroom for a crazy photographer who reminds me a little too much of bette midler (but hey, i get paid to play in a darkroom!).
i'm also slowly but surely figuring out who is made of tough enough skin to survive a summer here in the sticks, and we're binding together. its like lord of the flies. except no one has killed anyone yet i am happy to report.
after graduation it was strange for a while. i went to sleep one night and everyone i knew was here, i could still get into the photo dome, i still ate free food in the dining hall and like a dream, all of a sudden these things left. but now the party has started. hooray. i dont know where i'll be next year but thats fine. everything is fine.
