us spending our money on having our toops there is hardly helping us. we need to get money in an honest fashion instead of taking it from the middle east anyway. we SHOULD cancel that stupid space program to mars and use those billions of dollars to fix our education system, since no child left behind is CRAP, and we could also use that money to get some of our jobs back from other countries. you cant say that shit isnt a problem considering my dad has lost every job he's had in the past 12 years to another country. and who is this war employing anyway? jack shit, thats who. the only people it DOES employ are naval ship builders and anyone that supplies the army with anything, which is hardly anyone. you're the first european ive met that actually approved the war in the mid east. considering my girlfriend and her entire family is english, then yes, i HAVE gotten several opinions from europeans and not just the english either. americans are fucked in the eyes of europe either way. you guys think its great for us to help out but not if we do it the way we want to. do you not even think that there are other opinions held except those held by the majority? if you think you can do a better job, then why dont you guys go over there and do something about it? you guys can get YOUR heads chopped off and let our toops come home. and since your economy is so bad, then you wont mind fucking around over there to see how much money you can get. the way to handle ANY situation is to get it over with and come home, which is exactly what we're NOT doing. who gives a fuck if kerry would have fought it harder? at least with him we would have had a chance at coming home earlier. and this is where im going to sound like the typical cocky american: our economy is good enough that we dont NEED to be over there and its hardly helping us to be there. i didnt realize that "european sophistication" meant calling americans stupid for having an opinion. if you think you guys could do a better job, then go do it.

okay guys- settle down.

rallen- i really really don't appreciate being called dumb or uninformed just because you have a different opinion than mine. totally not cool. i spend a lot of my spare time reading through political books and documents- i'm involved in a lot of political activities here as well. so i do consider myself well informed. i really, honestly do.

another thing- why insult me for not having the same opinion? i mean really, are you as well informed as you are making yourself out to be? you live in the netherlands, and are NOT an american. you don't live here. you don't know what our economy is truly like. all you know is what you see from tv, radio, or internet. i would NEVER presume to know anything and everything about the Netherlands economy or war policies- because i don't live there. i don't experience it day to day. so if you were in my position, i would at least respect that you lived there and probably did have more knowledge on the subject than i could.

i'm not trying to argue with you- i'm just trying to make you see that shutting down people's opinions sucks. i didn't shut yours down- i just made an educated argument. coming on here to argue civilly is awesome- do whatever you wish with well educated arguments- but when it comes down to insulting someone's family, level of knowledge, or simply their opinion (especially when you know nothing of them) is just... not the ticket.
