Candice is a mom now. Can you believe that!? Too bad we live so far apart. At least she's not all the way on the East coast anymore. Sigh, someone better give me money to go visit her. I just can't not see Leilani. She can't grow up never seeing her really cool Uncle! That would be tragic.
Anyway, I'm done being tapped for spinal fluid. I made a friend, and we're going to kick it soon. He's pretty nice, but he doesn't speak English especially well, which is unfortunate, since it's hard to understand him sometimes and I hate asking him to repeat himself...constantly. And when I help him figure out which English word to use, I don't want him to get mad or whatever and slap me in the face and tell me to stop. That would just suck.
But man, they sure did keep us up late, there at that research place. The first night they attached us to an IV and pumped the drug into us. After that they monitored us every half hour. We had to keep in the catheder for 24 hours, and I got mine in at 2:40 in the morning, so every night after that my vital scannings were at that time. That was pretty annoying, since they had to awaken me from my slumber to check up on me. Dane didn't get into the study 'cause he took some medicine, but all the guys were cool, so I was okay. When I asked about Dane, they (the research people) looked all concerned and asked me if I still wanted to participate without him... After the IV was gone and the spinal taps were all done we mostly just got vital scannings and relaxed. Everything was comfortable. Except for that time I threw up... I don't think it was because of the puncture or anything. I was a back up, so there was a chance I wouldn't get a puncture at all and go home early, but some guy had bad fluid, so they called me in and I got one. Just one. That means I made $1150. That's not too bad. I played Monopoly once. I had to mortgage all my property, and by the end of the game I was in debt to Kevin (He's the guy that I'm going to hang out with.). Kevin is gay, but we're not going to hang out in a slut way or anything, I swear. We are going to Neighbours though. That's a gay club downtown! I kind of miss North West Kinetics now. We had to pee in jugs a lot. That was annoying when we had the IV attaced to us. The bathrooms were small, so dragging it in with us was difficult. And we couldn't change our shirts with it on, so we were all pretty stinky. But when we got them out, we took showers. That means my shower was at 3 in the morning. Such unreasonable times. But it's okay, I made money! My roommate was tall. Oh, and one time he yelled at a lady really loud. Like, all she did was mention that he slept all day, and he yelled, "screw you!" Then after she said something else, he told her not to talk down to him, and other mean things. Poor woman. I don't really like her either, but still, no one deserves to be yelled at in front of people. If I were that woman I might have cried.
I guess I should be going now. I'm kind of hungry.
