What Slanguage Do You Speak?

Being an Aussie it's good to know I know my Aussie slang. :)

Some ideas up for people to take.

Please let me know if you take any and show me what you do.

Idea 1: Phantom of the Opera set today. Xander is Christine and Angel / Angelus is the Phantom, Spike is Raul (or mix your vampires). Yes I'd like slash please.

Idea 2: Anastacia songfic challenge for Harry Potter versus Dumbledore. Here are the lyrics. When I first heard it I thought it would fit Harry potter but have not had time to write it. Might still, but it would be interesting to see another's take on this.

LEFT OUTSIDE ALONE
All my life I've been waiting
For you to bring a fairy tale my way
Been living in a fantasy without meaning
It's not okay
I don't feel save

Left broken empty in despair
Wanna breathe can't find air
Thought you were sent from up above
But you and me never had love
So much more I have to say
Help me find a way

And I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone
When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels
To be left outside alone
To be left outside alone

All my life I've been waiting
For you to bring a fairy tale my way
Been living in a fantasy without meaning
It's not okay
I don't feel save
I need to pray

Why do you play me like a game?
Always someone else to blame
Careless, helpless little man
Someday you might understand
There's not much more to say
But I hope you find a way

Still I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone
When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels
To be left outside alone
To be left outside alone
I'll tell you

All my life I've been waiting
For you to bring a fairy tale my way
Been living in a fantasy without meaning
It's not okay
I don't feel save
I need to pray:

Heavenly Father (heavenly father)
Please (please)
Save me (save me)

And I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone
When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels
To be left outside alone
To be left outside alone

And I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone
When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels
To be left outside alone
To be left outside alone

All my life I've been waiting
For you to bring a fairy tale my way
Been living in a fantasy without meaning
It's not okay
I don't fell save
I need to pray

Idea 3: Plot Bunny up for adoption. Again, I may finish this but in the meantime this is a crossover idea I open to all. American Gothic and Buffy.

Entering the small Southern town Xander felt a similar type of presence he had always felt in Sunnydale. Lingering, knowing, aware. And he only noticed it once he actually left Sunnydale to go on this road tip.

So here he was, looking for some of his relatives in the town his mother had come from. Trinity, South Carolina.

"Pretty town. But appearances are deceiving I guess." Xander muttered to himself as he slowly drove down the main street. Seeing a boarding house with a vacancy sign he parked and got out, to enter the house.

Eyes watched his every move, from the time he first came in range, to the present.

"Well well. So Louanne had a son." Sheriff Lucas Buck smiled as he watched the young man pay for a weeks lodging in advance.

Xander entered City Hall to find a young man in a deputy's uniform sitting behind the reception desk.

"Can I help you?"

"Umm, maybe? I'm after records."

"What kind of records?"

"My mother came from here and I want to find out a bit about her family. I just graduated high school and I'm on a road trip to find myself."

"It's nice to see someone so young take an interest in his family. Family's very important," The speaker came into view from the shadows, wearing a sheriff's uniform. Looking at him, Xander felt the same vibe he had from other predators...dangerous...cunning...evil.

"Sheriff. This young man here is actually..."

"I heard him, Ben. Welcome to Trinity, son. I'm Sheriff Lucas buck and this here's my Deputy, Ben Healy. " He held out his hand and Xander eyed it warily before taking a hold of it. Cold, strong, and with a powerful presence behind it.

"Xander Harris, sir." He said politely. Courtesy never hurt, and who knows? It may help if needed later on.

"Harris, you say? Only Harris I know of was a young drifter who came here, 'bout twenty years ago. He ran off with my fiance, Louanne Claymore." Xander dropped the hand and stared at him, surprised.

//Oh this is so not good! He gives off the evil vibes and he won't like me now 'cause my stupid drunk of a Dad stuffed things up even here.//

"Really?" The Sheriff smiled and Xander felt his blood run cold.

"Of course, that's all water under the bridge now."

Heh heh. Xander Lucas Slash anyone?

Finally a little story I'm not sure I ever posted anywhere. It's preslash and is a Buffy / Harry Potter crossover. Just after the wedding that never was.

Title: Adjustments
Author: Xandria
Rating: NC17+ eventually
Fandom: Buffy / Harry Potter
Spoilers: Wedding episode in Buffy s6. Then it’s an AU. Made it book 7 for Harry Potter so none there.
Summary: Giles POV
Crossover: between Buffy and Harry Potter
Feedback: Yeah baby!
E-mail: xandria1969@yahoo.com.au
Archive: Yes. Let me know where though so I can go look
Notes: Part of a bigger story I am possibly writing. This is kind of an experiment, guys not the finished product. There is more to the back story here which Giles doesn’t know yet as it is his POV. I want to know if I’ve got his character right before polishing this up properly. I imagined Tom (Bartender) with a strong London accent, with Cockney undertones - kind of like my uncle speaks.
Pairings: Anya/ Xander, Giles/Xander implications
Disclaimers: Other people own them all (Sob!) They ain't mine, they were never mine, they were Joss’s and JK Rowlings. (Sigh)

Giles sighed as he followed Hagrid into the Leaky Cauldron. Coming back to England had seemed like a good idea, to let his children go, let them grow into themselves. But it had hurt. And he missed them. Especially…

“So who is it?”

“Sorry?” He looked up to see Hagrid staring at him, smile gone and concern on his face. Giles remembered seeing that same look as a child, going to Hogwarts and getting his first letter from his father. Hagrid had found him crying, and had taken him to his cottage for a cup of tea. Tea had been a big comfort to him ever since, reminding him of the first adult male in his life who actually ‘cared’.

“That yer moonin’ ovah. I remember that same look when ye’d get a crush in school. So, boy or girl?”

“Both really. I miss the children. I wish I hadn’t left them. They didn’t need me any more.”

“Huh.”

“What?”

“It’s more than that.” Feeling a headache coming on, Giles stared at the half giant.

“I’m not sure what you mean.’

“Yeah ye do! It’s the boy, isn’t it? He looks just yer type, and from what ye’ve said, acts like it too.”

Xander. Yes, he really missed Xander more than the others, even Buffy or Dawn. But he had never seemed interested in men, and now he was getting married. No, is married.

“You’re right. He’d be married by now, you know.” Looking at his watch he continued. “Married to Anya as of four days ago now. “

“That explains why ye’ve been even more down this week. And ye’ve been rivalling Snape in giving out detentions.”

“Yes, well, I’m usually more patient, but not now. With You-Know-Who back, it’s vital they pay attention in class. It just may save their life.”

“Still don’t see how.”

“That’s just it, Hagrid, the Muggle way of life is a major blind spot to the majority of the Wizards and Witches in England and Europe. One thing I did like about life in the States was how magic users lived amongst Muggles. It may be that the only way to be safe is to hide in plain sight, amongst the Muggles! So when Mr Malfoy or Ms Parkinson began to whine once more about how Muggle Studies shouldn’t be compulsory for seventh years and they will complain to their precious Daddies I had had enough.”

“I can understand that. Sometimes I feel if Malfoy makes one more comment about meh race or meh classes I could…”

“Quite.” Giles interrupted. “At least they all aren’t like that. More Butterbeer?”

“Of course. Ye know meh, Rupert.” Hagrid said, and beamed. Giles smiled back before going back to the bar.

“Mr Giles! How is life up at Hogwarts!” the bartender, Tom, said.

“Good. And you?”

“Oh, can’t complain. Still, it a bit of worry at times, innit? I mean what with things and all. And I was saying to my mate Cyril the other day. Cyril, I says, it must be a big worry fer them up at that school. What with things and all. Still, can’t complain, ey?”

“Yes, well, I better take these back to Hagrid.”

“Of course. Have a good one. Mr Giles.”

As he headed back to their table, Giles noticed Hagrid talking to a young man who from the back reminded him of…

“Xander?” Giles said as the boy turned slightly. He didn’t look as if he’d just started his honeymoon. He didn’t look happy at all. Turning around more, Xander caught sight of him. His face lit up and he stared at him as Giles walked over and stared back.

“Rupert!” He jumped and looked up at Hagrid who’d stood and was smiling at him.

“Hagrid? This is Xander.”

“I know. We were talkin while Tom was bending yer ear. I’ll see you later.” With that, Hagrid left. Putting down the butterbeers, he stared after his friend, anything to avoid looking at the man standing in front of him. He’d managed to make an art form of that since the engagement had been announced.

“Giles?” A small voice said then and he looked, finally.

Really looked at the young man for the first time in months.

And smiled.
