More DI news.
Okay, so after months of staring at the folder of DI chapters I have, written between 2003 and 2006, I've decided instead of continuing DI the way I had planned, I am going to go back and rewrite the whole damn thing. I'm not doing to delete it, by any means. Actually, I'm going to go and read through the entire thing--between work and school @_@--and not only edit the problems in the grammar, character tones, and plot, but I'm going to change a few scenes, edit out some of the ranting that literally goes on and on (and on and on and on and on and on--) and perhaps shorten it a bit. THIS DOES NOT MEAN DI'S PLOT WILL CHANGE. Just some of the extraneous scenes will be changed around.
As soon as I can get enough coffee and sugar in one place, as well as secure silence in my house for long enough to do it, I am going to get to work on it. I also need to reformat the story for the new Fictionpress; it's been forever since I've been there, and the new system wiped out a lot of my notations, scene-change marks, etc., so I'm going to have to go back and re-do all of that. (Now I wish I hadn't had so much time as a kid to write so much in one place. Wow. @___@ It's dumbfounding.)
On another note, to anyone still into DI and the idea of fanart/official art and so forth, I'm going to be posting the edited chapters of DI (God willing) on y!gallery, probably in its own club. This decision comes from the realization that I write so much and so many stories, and get plenty of praise for it...but I've never posted any of my original work there. When DI developed its own fandom, I was ill-equipped to handle the tide of fanart and fictions that flooded my mailbox, and while I still have a lot of the things wonderful people have sent to me, the idea of redoing Sunshine and Shadows makes me wanna croak. One thing at a time. @_@ So, if you're interested in the possibility of reading rewritten DI chapters as soon as they come out, feel free to float on over to y!gallery (yaoi.y-gallery.net) and find my page there. As soon as I get the first chapter edited, I'll get it posted up there. For those who might not be of age/might not want to join y!gallery, don't worry. ^^ As soon as I have a handful of DI chapters revamped--ten or so--I'll likely start uploading them to FP again. Though the formatting and perhaps the format might not match up, I'll do it.
Any feedback appreciated. After an email from a fan involving the concept of a DI cosplay (x3!), my brain is back on task. =3
