Game of the Year

Well I blog a lot about the games I play. So I decided to sit down and think about the games that made the biggest impact on me this year.

1. Crisis Core.
I have to say that this game is number 1. It's my primary fandom after all. I certainly will never forget getting the game, going to Japan, queueing at Universal Studios, and seeing Sephiroth for the first time and squealing like the rabid fangirl that I am (and startling all the Japanese in the queue along with me!). I've still not finished playing it though, so in some respects, I failed this game. >.<

2. The World Ends With You.
Didn't think it would have that great an impact on me but I have to say its the game that's made me think the most. I absolutely love love love love how Slytherin Joshua is. So in love with him. The Subaseka world rocks too, and nothing beats going to Japan (for a second time this year!) and going around Shibuya with reisha and wrong with a DS and seeing all the Subaseka landmarks. So much fun.

3. World of Warcraft.
Things heated up a lot at the end of Burning Crusade. There were long stretches when I was utterly bored with this game, but I have to say that I've made so many good friends on it, and spent the most amount of my time playing this. Favorite instance has to be Mount Hyjal. Feels like an RTS game with all those waves on waves of mobs coming and us beating them down against all odds. The rush is indescribable. Wrath of the Lich King is also taking up a lot of my current game time as well.

4. Lost Odyssey
This game prompted me to buy an Xbox360. Took me a long time to decide because there were so many lukewarm reviews. But seriously, its one of the best games I've ever played. I have to say the main character Kaim makes me cry buckets of tears and feel for him. No other game has managed to do that. The game world is so gorgeous, I spend all my time just staring at the beauty. Plus the fact that I loved the game's OST long before I got it, and after playing the game, I love the music even more. I'm very influenced by music in a game.
