Okay, I've been getting spammed in the comments section a lot lately, so if you are interested in friending me, you'll have to send me a private message from now on, I have to disable comments to stop the dozens of spam messages I receive on a daily basis here.

Why the decision to switch it to friends only?

I made the decision because for the past six or so months, my journal has been getting riddled with mean and nasty comments from people who seem to enjoy picking on other Livejournal users. Because I already had my journal set up to screen anonymous and non-friend comments pretty much since I had my journal, no one else ever saw any of those comments, and I'd just go ahead and delete them.

Lately there seemed to be a bit of a surge in the inflammatory comments again, and after watching a few of my other friends get hit with a barrage of these remarks and go "friends only", I figured that before anybody attacks me online, I'll lock my posts so they'll be viewable only by those on my friends list. It's something that I had hoped that I wouldn't have to resort to, but it ended up being something that I had to do in order to protect my journal.

Anyway, don't worry too much, all my existing friends don't have to worry about being removed from my friends lists.

Well, I hope you don't get attacked. I had hoped that I'd never get attacked like this, but since I identified myself as a furry, that basically painted a big huge red target on myself.

My profile on here identifies me very clearly as a fur. I do post on "general" communities sometimes. Ones for cat lovers and the garfield comic feed I may comment on. So far I guess I must be really lucky. I am not sure really why I have not been targeted yet. I can take some if they are going to try. I have anon. comments screened.

I am curious who exactly did these attacks. I know of certain hate groups out there, some target furs among others. Sorry if too curious. I am a cat and all.

I suspect that they were most likely SA goons, but with the way they trolled me intermittently over the course of many months, it didn't seem like SA. The way I observed SA goons troll others, they like to engage in an all-out blitz, these people were more rogue-like than that.

Yeah, just doesn't really sound like the SA's style. Hard to know really. Could be another group. Maybe are some from the myg0t.
