I've been posting cartoon collections in different places for a while - thought I might as well post a few here.
The worst thing about collecting French Revolutionary / Napoleonic wars era political cartoons is waiting for the appropriate excuse to post them, which basically never comes. (No, I don't have the one cartoon you're probably familiar with about carving the world up)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Suvorov]Suvorov[/url]. He's kinda a big deal in Russia, and he looks... well, a bit more wryly mischievous than you'd imagine, but approximately what you'd think a Russian general of that era would look like.

Unless you're a British cartoon artist, in which case you'll have very different notions of how a Russian general appears.

Frankly, I find these harder to look at than a random Mccoy / Lester. We can go on about classic 19th century cartoons, but probably not so much about 18th century ones.
