dread head
I finally did it... I got my dreadlocks in. I decided to go to the beauty school at City College because I figured they'd at least have some idea about how to do it and it's like 2 blocks from my house.
They really didn't know what they were doing -- I mean how often does someone walk in and say: "Could you section off my hair and then tease and tangle it for me?" It took almost 3 hours to get done with 2-3 people working on my head. There was a tall black girl who's name I can't remember (She was the one I thought was going to do it when I went in the day before to ask if they could do it.) and there was a shorter girl named Natalie -- who now that I'm thinking about it looks a lot like "Veronica" from Suicide Girls down to the lip ring. They were the main people to do my do... then one of their other friends started helping out -- after that we also had people wanting to "try" it so I kinda became the class guinea pig. It was cool though -- they came out okay -- even if they are a little thinner than I wanted but hey I gots thin hair so what can you do.
