a new hat and some christmas cheer

so katie and i had this party last night, which was really nice but sort of akward, and bless was there but we broke up and i drank mulled cider that lucy made with rum and got drunk and talked to my friend natalie and decorated our christmas tree. the tree looks beautiful, its so full and everyone is so impressed that we actually got a tree. i love it though, it feels like home, seeing it through the window outside coming home. magic. and then today i went present shopping at this gallery show/sale/extravaganza, and found this amazing hat which i had to buy myself cause i looked damn cute in it. its boiled wool and stellar. and now i'm weaving and i love it and tomorrow i'm going to weave more and screen print and i love that too. god, christmas time is almost here. i'll be home for two weeks and then here for a class and isolation which i'm going to love, and my dad is going to sri lanka and my mom is making a tofurkey for christmas dinner. everything feels so nice right now and theres a cute boy who likes me and i'm really happy that bless and i stopped dating. somethings just aren't good, even when you want them to be very badly. you can't force things, and i don't want to try to anymore.

when i go home i'm going to walk from one end of philadelphia to the other and eat good food with people i haven't seen in a long time. i woke up smiling today.
