Brownies & chips - it's a break in routine...

The cunning plan was to have games in the park with the Brownies and Guides this evening. The cunning plan fell through with a splash, because the weather did not favour us. So we took the bus from the park to the church hall and played some singing games while preparing for the next activity, which I had thought of at about six o'clock in slight panic. We covered the floor with newspaper, and then let the Brownies and Guides make hand- &/or foot-print paintings. Lots of excited squeals, and some mess. The small-Guides and the Brownies then went and played French Cricket on the back carpark, while the big-Guides either "helped supervise" or painted each others' nails. Everyone seemed to go home happy & cleaning up the hall was not too bad. We had a Worst Witchy mop (head attached with cellotape) and the Owls were, as usual, efficient. Oh yes.

Pim, Kitty & I then stayed until about half nine/quarter to ten, tidying the cupboard. Well, making a start on tidying it. Because when I had opened it on reaching the hall there was no floor space to be seen & there was an awful lot of stuff all over everywhere. You can now actually get into it & some bits are rather a lot neater. So huzzah, frankly. There may also possibly have been some hysterical silliness involving Brownie uniform. 22" waist culottes fit fairly nicely over jeans, apparently. La. Between those photos on Kitty's phone and Katie's photos of me-in-the-bin during the tidying up people are going to start thinking I am a bit mad-like.

And although it was Friday and not Tuesday, on the way home we got chips. And now I am even more sleepy than I was on Tuesday, I think...

shiny people, tidying, huzzah, guides, guiding, brownies, cleaning
