Exercise Class II

Oct 19, 2006 15:45

Today's class went better than Tuesday's. I suspect this was because I was starting exercising at an appropriate level, rather than having to drop down to an appropriate level. It was still very tiring though, but exercise is good. "Proper" exercise, like using the stepper & the exercise bike is actually less evil than things like sit-stands from a low bench...

In today's class there were two ladies who had managed to fall between a platform and a train. Not the same train/platform. Well, not as far as I am aware. They were comparing stories as we waited for class to start. I was singing quietly in my head so as not to think about falling out of trains/messy injuries etc. *shudders*

After the class I asked the physio if she thought I would be able to do a beginners' ballet class in January. She got a bit enthused about the whole idea (her little eyes lit up at the thought of a patient wanting to do exercise etc, which was quite cute) and has said yes, although I would need to be careful & will have to check with Becky as well. She did also suggest that the whole exercise class could do some ballet moves together at the end of a class, to see how well I manage them. This is going to make me very popular with the big-manly-men I am sure... But huzzah for permission to make a complete fool of myself (avec la Pim)...
