The organising hat is looking resigned...

This morning did not go entirely to plan. La. I would like to point out that this is mostly the fault of Giraffe. Yes...

I saw my friendly physio at quarter to nine this morning. So not a time for me to be having to be at the hospital. Non. However, the assessment went well and I now have a place in an exercise class twice a week, for the next three weeks. I have a specially designed programme of exercises to do for the hour the class lasts, and I think my general fitness level will be substantially improved by them... I feel a bit daft only *just* being able to lift 5kg with my legs atm, but I suppose I do need to bear in mind the whole you-did-actually-have-your-muscles-chopped-up thing. Yes. Once the three weeks are up, I see the physio again so she can assess how much progress I have made & decide what needs to happen next. Slightly dreading the thought of the classes as I suspect I may be supposed to wear shorts, and also I have visions of the class consisting of me & a gang of the elderly mad who have all had various bits of them replaced. Bionic pensioners, let us fear them...

After I had leapt about for a suitable length of time & not broken, I bopped off into town. There was some accidental shopping. La. I now have some stripy knee-length socks (they are pink with rainbow stripes) and, er, another pair of trainers. This is ALL Giraffe's fault. I went into TKMAxx meaning to look at coats. My current one is about 6 years old and is a size 12, so I do need to replace it. Somehow, however, I ended up not with a coat, but with another pair of pink Skechers. They have a sparkly elasticated velcro strap. And they were only £12.99. And they do fit me very nicely - possibly even better than my others, as, being children's shoes, they are not so wide. *strokes new trainers* Trying them on did create a slight drama though, as there was nowhere to sit. And I cannot currently do sitting on the floor. Because it involves falling over to get there. And getting up involves bizarre contortions & assistance from someone else, as a general rule. However, a very nice member of staff went to the storeroom & found me a kick-step that I could sit on while I tried on the shoes. Huzzah for helpful people.

I then went and bought some envelopes, and went on to the health food shop where I bought raspberry yoghurt & stuff for sandwiches & a pastie thing & some veggie-burger mix. I also went to the bank & paid in a cheque. Then I went to Tesco, and Giraffe got slightly over-excited. This is how I ended up with animal-shaped pasta. (Yes, there are giraffe ones.) I also got washing things and cleaning things and bathing things as Tesco very helpfully do not torture small and fluffy creatures with them before releasing them to the general public. And it is important for small & fluffy creatures to stick together, evidently... My purchases also included very scrummy mushroom burgers. I have just had one (with hash browns and cherry tomatoes) for my lunch. Mmm...

I got the bus back from the supermarket because my shopping did weigh rather a lot. It may have been the washing powder, or possible the bottles of water. *shrugs* Ho-hum. Thankfully the bus stops just at the end of my road, but even getting from there to my house was a bit of a challenge. There may have been slight shoulder-clunkage. But I prevailed. Yes...
