I woke up at 5 on Saturday. Despite this & getting up shortly before half six, I managed to (just) miss my train... *sighs* However, I managed to get to Euston & onto my train (which was a little delayed) without too many excitements. Excluding the mad Australian woman & having to try and sit with my rucksack on my knees on the tube... The lift at MK was not working, which meant that by the time I met Kitty and Vikki I was feeling slightly exhausted. The solution to this was provided on arrival at Herons Lodge though, as I was given Diet Coke. I have in fact now been drinking it solidly for two days. Owing to the knee situation, I have thus been somewhat-hyper-prone-to-randomness but not too insane/manic. Huzzah.
Nicola was under the table being imaginary when I arrived. *pats*
Saturday was fun - there was quite a lot of chattering & some playing of CS themed games. Alas for me, I missed the excitement of First Aid charade happenings *sighs* Silly knees, which apparently didn't enjoy the trip to MK with my rucksack. I do not know what is wrong with them. Well, actually, I do, but... Lunchtime, incidentally, saw the advent of Cyril. He is a piece of celery. And evil... Pimothy was being tres artistic & made him clothes & everything...
Saturday soir I had a very nice tea after which we were split into small groups & sent to produce costumes for a CS nativity. My group (me, Ray, Sarah, Sugar & Kitty) drew Mary and Joseph. Ray made a superb Joseph in Liz's dressing gown with a tea-towel (held in place by an alice band) on her head... I was Mary, in a highly fetching bedspread & trek-towel ensemble. Oh yes. Sarah in a moment of genius made a halo for the baby Jesus (a borrowed doll) and we thus had a wonderous tableau. Yes indeed. Of the other groups, Nicola & Pim as the donkey deserve a special mention for being a) rather fine and b) rather drunk...
There was then singing, followed by bedtime drabbles. Sugar's, incidentally, was particularly fine. *giggles*
Today was a lazy-ish day with, um, more chatting, and indeed food. I have gained a rather vast quantity of chocolate slice... Mwahaha. I also have sheep notebooks, because they were so very cute. In addition to this I have the money raised towards board running costs, on a temporary basis, being responsible for giving it to Liss later on.
I managed to startle Nicola by smelling like coconut. I would have expected her to be more startled by my smelling of something else, but apparently not. Oops. Mind you, she managed to break my brain entirely, so I do not think there should be too much sympathy for her, frankly. No indeed. Helen gave me my hug from Carolyn. It was a very nice hug. She also gave me one from herself, which I felt was very generous. And there were Nicola-hugs, which are immensely fine. Yes.
Getting home this afternoon was exciting. We had to be rescued when Gem's seatbelt entangled itself with the lock on her door & refused to move & then we took a scenic tour of Tottenham... It was jolly exciting. However, once we found the Blackwall Tunnel I could navigate to my house & then give directions to the South Circular. Pim is prolly currently stealthing Hemelwards, having gone to Hither Green when Gem dropped me off, and Gem should be in Croydon now/soon. I hope...
In case you had not yet realised, I am very tired. And should quite possibly be in bed, really...
