Apart from the fact I overslept & missed mass, I have had a rather fine day. My birthday-present-purchasing expedition went particularlyly well & I think I have managed to sort out the new phones. Nothing has yet exploded anyway...
Post-shopping I met up with Jennie as she was in London for a BYC meeting and had time to kill before her train home & we had a vair nice meal together in Garfunkel's by Paddington Station. I was asked by the lady next to me if I was French (I helped her translate the menu) because apparently I don't have an accent at all (other than of the French variety) which was cheering. Less cheering was the fact she clearly thought I was a child (J presumably being my responsible adult...) as she addressed me as "tu". But never mind...
Cannot quite believe the weather atm: who would think it had been so hot until a few days ago? Oxford Street was almost a solid mass of umbrellas, and I've been wearing a jumper for much of the day...
