Huzzah!

For I have had a most splendacious weekend...

Le samedi, J and I larked to Greenwich and then took a boat up the Thames, lunched at the Giraffe, and pottered for a bit before returning home and lazing and watching a Bill Bailey DVD. Très amusant. Sadly for me the weirdy-spinny-worldy-malady elected to leap upon me once more. Which is a bit of a pain, frankly. Gah. J may well enjoy doing First Aid, but that is really not the point... Anyway, some pretty-tablets later & I can now do things like walk in a straight line. And don't feel like I am going to be horribly sick. Always a bonus and indeed a plus. Ooh, yes, and before the larking I forced J to come and admire the-fabric-from-which-my-new-curtains-are-being-made. Daddy also came to admire. It was not unlike the advent of the three wise men... or, er, something...

Today involved more DVD-watching (Chocolat), but also the sorting & hefting of things into the loft. J was in charge of actual hefting. I was being ornamental. However, in the sorting, my manifesto for the position of School Captain was unearthed. I am not quite sure how the decision was reached to install me in that lofty position when my manifesto included such fine statements as: "despite having all the natural sporting ability of a small cucmber"; "being School Captain could be seen as the first step on my way to ruling the universe (with all those who voted for me being rewarded under the new order)"; and "my t-shirts would give you all something interesting to read before assembly". Interesting, non? Mmm, and we had pancakes for, um, brunch. And they were so scrummy. Mmm... *drifts into happy reverie about pancakes*

This evening I have watched Goodbye Lenin! and decided that Daniel Brühl is v. fit. Also cried over the ending. Alas. Sadly, it seems I cannot switch off the subtitles on my DVD (purchased on Saturday... la...) which is a pity, but I am sure I shall cope. I have also attempted to pack for camp. I am off tomorrow for five days, to lark joyfully in fields etc etc. Sadly the joyful larking is set to commence at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. Which will mean my getting up at ungodly o'clock to finish packing & shower & make a packed lunch & so on.

Anyway, yes, too hot, quite tired, possibly bedtime...
