Today I have been to Blackheath, Lee and Lewisham, as there were things I needed to do in each place I couldn't do in any of the others... meh... However, it was a nice day for strolling along, Giraffe gambolling merrily by my side & the sun warm upon me from the blue sky...
The organising hat was firmly on today, for as well as shopping & general life-organising there has been laundry; tidying & bed-making for the advent of the Rosie; and the making of cakes. Giraffe helped LOTS. However, her enthusiasm was possibly not enough to compensate for the fact that there were quite a lot of interruptions to the process. Nonetheless, we have made raspberry buns, rock cakes (of the NORTY sort that have chocolate chips in as well as fruit), and rice-krispie cakes (using Green & Black's chocolate, as the delicious vegan "milk" one was unfindable... alas...) We even managed to find suitable containers for them, but are considering wrapping them into tinfoil parcels on Saturday morning to make transporting them easier *nods*
Sadly plans for meeting up with
quirky_anglican did not come to pass, but maybe we'll manage some other time...
Tomorrow I am going to see my aunt & then the Rosie is coming to stay. At some point I will be making shepherd's pie as that is what we are having for tea *nods*
There will be a weekend of much larky-goodness and then Sunday evening I shall have to sort out my bedlinen and towels so I have clean stuff READY when I get out of hospital. And, er, yes, generally organise myself for that. I have SAVED three new (to me) books to read & have plenty of bread in the freezer because my current post-op eating plans involve nothing more complicated than my making toast. (I have jam/vegan "pâté" to go on it... although not mixed... no...) Even then there is a risk of my ending up with bread flambé... Hum...
