Still tired. Or possibly tired again...
Today was again quite full. I was up at around eight, but then bopped around in my jamas until I realised that it was ten past eleven so getting dressed was now a matter of some urgency as I had a dentist appointment at half past. However, as my dentist is conveniently just round the corner (on the same road as the doctors) I was neither late nor indeed still wearing my jamas.
Dentist over I went home to get another book for the train (just in case...) and write my thank-you card to Liss' parents. Sadly in the general excitement I forgot about the big card small handwriting issue... Whoops?
I met Marie on the train (she too had been to the dentist, but in Lewisham) and we made our way to the Giraffe on the south bank together, to meet the Squeen. Lunch was immensely fine, with smoothies & slight loon-dancing as an accompaniment to the meal. I was also both amused and indeed bemused by my baked beans appearing in a small dish of their own. They were swiftly transfered to my plate, so they did not feel isolated. *nods*
After lunch (when Liss had sadly had to go back to work... meh...) Marie and I went and played on the carousel and then walked to Westminster, past horseguards & to Covent Garden before returning to Charing Cross, whence I larked off to Lewisham & the opticians & Marie went back to FP.
The optician was a bit mad, but in the nicest possible way. Less nice was having to get new lenses for my glasses. Well, I suppose there was technically no compulsion, but I felt that in the interests of being able to see it might help. This did involve me spending an amusing 40 minutes or so wandering around in the shopping centre, essentially unable to see & quite worried someone was going to give me a good kicking for giving them evils... Thankfully not though & the updated glasses and I got safely home.
Ce soir I have bought my train ticket for Brighton for tomorrow & also been to Sainsbury's to buy daffy-duck raspberry sugar-free suitable-for-vegetarians jelly to post to Liss & Katie. For use at a social event, rather than just randomly. For a change...
