Thankfully, there are only 3 Week 5's in a year. Also, once I have graduated, Week 5 will no longer mean anything to me. Sadly, "long vacation" will also cease to be meaningful, but you can't have everything.
Confusion reigns on the work-front. Fr'example, went to HAP class this afternoon to discover it was on empire, rather than culture. For some reason, it seems the Faculty didn't think we might want to know about the swap... Cue my running away to do some laundry & finish my reading for my PoG essay.
I have STARTED my essay on "To what extent has women’s political activity been constrained by separate spheres ideology?" but I am a bit tired-grumpy-rundown in a general Fifth-Week kind of way, so it's not exactly going well. My granddaughter, who just accused me of slacking (the youth of today!) seems unaffected by the advent of week five - she has just handed in her essay, is going to have some tea & then out to the Union. (Which is not like a normal SU or anything, btw, it is a debating society, and not to be confused with CUSU, which IS the SU...)
The PoG essay must be finished tomorrow to allow me to spend the weekend working on my Long Essay for Special Subject. I need to do quite a lot of reading. Glagh. However, before I can, I need to work out what the hell I NEED to be reading. Which could be an interesting process in itself.
Sadly I have had no time to play with the DoD. Happily, my DOS is not in wrathful!Gill mode, but is being helpful & not shouting at me for neglecting my dissertation. Which is good. *nods*
And now, back to the essay...
