Holey Moley!!!!
Hello, everyone. Man, this has been a real trip. I can't remember if I mentioned that I was having some work done on my eyes. Well, I was. I had an old injury that caused some scarring or something on my left retina/pupil juncture. It started causing more and more problems and I've been undergoing a series of treatments to have it corrected. Hopefully, it has worked.
The main problem it caused was an inability to read the computer screen. For some reason, the back-lighting on the monitor caused such blurring that I could only read a few words at a time without having to close my eyes for some time. I could barely focus on pictures on the monitor. It was quite frustrating and I now have a sense of what it must be like to lose one's vision. Not pleasant at all. My only saving grace was that I more or less knew what was happening and assumed it would be corrected.
And, of course, there was the saving grace that, other than having my pupils dilated day after day after day after day, as long as I stayed off the computer, I was fine.
Anyway, I'm back and happy to be here. I'll have to go check up on my friends page and see how each of you is doing.
