I was just joking about my father. He was (is) my hero. He is probably the finest man I've ever met, and I mean that. He and my mother were married for almost 50 years. He died just before the anniversary. My mom always joked about him being "one of those gemini - you know how THEY are". I never quite knew what she meant. But, my parents were both great. I'm not sure what went wrong with me. Maybe I really WAS adopted. :-)

You never sound fucking dumb on LJ. And, I wouldn't consider it too important if cashiers treat you that way, given some of the cashiers I've encountered. Anyway, you're welcome for having your thoughts come full circle in my blog. My blog has a way of making peoples thoughts do strange things. :-)

As to the "halo" effect, that's weird because I was thinking of it when I wrote my last response to you. The "halo" effect is - according to some theories - an effect caused by electro-magnetic energy that causes some persons to actually 'glow'. It's not discernible to the naked eye but they have tried to develop special high and low spectrum photographic techniques to capture the effect.

The halo effect is thought to occur in persons of powerful charisma - that could be you - and the theory goes that over the ages fleeting glimpses have been caught by persons who were in the presence of charismatic persons, such as (are you ready for this?) Jesus and that, because so many people detected the 'halo effect' in Jesus, he came to be represented in paintings as having a halo. That was eventually generalized to other 'holy' people and, thus, the depiction of the classic halo was born.

My guess is that you may be VERY charismatic. Do you have a strong personality that effects people, whether positively or negatively? (It can effect different people differently but most people won't react to you in a neutral manner. They "either love you or hate you.")
