If Only...
... If only something spectacular had happened today for me to write about, I'd be all excited. But, nothing exciting did happen.
What did I do? Hmm, let's see. One thing I did was go feed a friend's parrot. The friend is out of town and the parrot, Nestle, stays home alone. So I go over and feed and entertain her. She's a good bird. We talk to each other even though our conversations don't make much sense, just like my conversations with humans. I have no idea what she really thinks of me. Well, I have a small idea. Friday night she gave me a quite healthy bite on my palm. That may be a clue to her feelings. I bled like a stuck pig for about 45 minutes and she sat there cackling.
Today was sunny and nice here - for a change. I went for a walk around the lake that is across the street from where I live. It is 4.6 miles and is a pretty easy walk because it's flat terrain, which is unusual in San Francisco. The city has a walking/running/bicycling path running uninterrupted the entire way. That makes it nice.
I ran some errands, met some friends for a couple of hours and talked, ate, read... Hmm. I guess I didn't really do anything exciting - or, even remotely interesting. So...
Even if this post bores you to tears, please tell me it was very interesting and exciting to you. I'll know you're lying but I won't care. I just love having positive feedback.
