Here is the second part of my hectic weekend... ^.^
On the Sunday was the group shoot organised by
Angel of Darkness. All 6 models and 4 make-up artists met at 9am at Waterloo station, and since we models had to do our own styling and hair that meant I had to wake up at 7. When I left the house it wasn't very cold, and the sky was a beautiful clear blue so I was optimistic about the shoot.
Once I got to Waterloo I met my first MUA for the day,
Maria T-Eweka. She was very pleasant and talented and I loved the make-up she did on me! By the time we were finished it was 11am and the 8 photographers had already arrived. The weather had taken a bad turn and it was bitingly cold and windy as well as raining. There was nothing else for it but to shoot somewhere sheltered, so it was decided we would warm up under some tunnels covered in graffitti. Don't take me wrong, I am not a diva at all, but the theme was meant to be high/elegant fashion and I was dressed accordingly (or trying to!), with a ruffly silver dress, matching tiny handbag and ultra-sleek, tidy hairstyle, so I was not very impressed with the prospect of shooting against graffittied walls... However it turned out not so bad and I had the opportunity to shoot with some lovely photographers,
Ian Mears,
Jim Nemer and
Vipul =) There were some louts in the tunnels who kept disturbing our shooting, and I heard them shout out all manner of insults, including 'slut' in Polish. Luckily they gave up pretty quickly and left us alone!

Fortunately while we were in the tunnels the sky cleared again and it was sunny once more! How strange to hear myself rejoicing in the sunshine, I am usually a wintry and autumnal girl but it really was a relief from the cold and rain =) We decided to head towards South Bank and stopped to take some photos right outside the South Bank Centre on some yellow staircases. On this occasion I was photographed by the hilarious
Al Veryard and we had some fun experimenting with crazy expressions =D Too soon it was time to move on and find a coffee shop for the models to change into our second outfits and get our make-up redone. We stumbled on a place called Cafe Alba and set up camp there. This time I was wearing a lovely pink and purple dress with a pattern of giant polka dots and a beautiful puffy skirt and sleeves. My MUA this time was
Angels Faces and she did a wonderful job (glitter and star-shaped sequins, yay! =3)

Next photographer I shot with was the talented
Mark Perry. We decided to shoot inside a nearby art gallery and managed a few great shots with some of the artpieces before we were asked to leave. It was probably for the best since at one point I forgot I was wearing an extremely puffy skirt and nearly knocked over a delicate tower made entirely of pencil sharpenings >.< Luckily no harm was done!
Thereafter night had irrevocably fallen and most of the other models and photographers decided to shoot anywhere which would afford them cover. Most ended up in a lobby by some elevators, but I braved the outside world and teamed up with the awesome
Nain Dziyauddin. We managed some shots by some blue lit-up trees on the grass as well as on benches and by a small monument. I couldn't help myself from almost constantly shivering but we got some amazing images anyway. After that the entire group decided to wrap it up, and we all headed together towards the station at around 6pm. I got home and kicked off my high heels in relief. Modelling really does feel like a full time job, except it is much more fun! ^.^
No satisfactorily good quality images to show yet since it is still early days but will post some previews as soon as I get them =)
