Xana, Mabel. Eleven years old, precocious as all get-out, currently in a hot pink phase she'll never really outgrow, sports a busted lip, and is just a bit dead. She's got her arms crossed and is here to talk about Serious Business, all right.
"This stupid ass white girl in my class hasn't left me alone all year!" She's not supposed to use words like 'ass', but nobody here's gonna make her put a quarter in a swear jar. "She almost got me suspended for punching the lights out of her creepy brother last month 'cause she got something against me! But there's a dead under her bed freaking her out, or something, and all the adults think she's crazy and stuff. Should I beat it up and make it go away, or should I just let it eat her?"
