Melou is still waiting for Michelle to come back, having latched onto the idea of her with complete and utter adoration. But in the meantime, he's still got to do something, and he's taken to doing a little carpentry by himself, to keep his hands busy and because he isn't really comfortable with the idea of taking food from Stigmata without paying for it in something. As it turns out, with practise he's fairly decent at making chairs, and they are much less crooked by now than they were two weeks ago, albeit not particularly beautiful.
He still tends to slip through Xana central with a furtive step, trying to avoid notice, his head down as if he expect to be smacked around the ears. But he's getting less twitchy, and as he makes his way down the street towards the bar for his daily meal he looks almost casual, almost like any other boy walking.
