This can't be good
It's not that Sergei is paranoid. Per se. On the other hand, he dislikes being in situations where he doesn't know what's going on. And turning up in a random city while attempting apparate back to Boston 100% qualifies.
He heads for the marketplace; it seems to be where people are congregating, and at least he might get an answer to where he's ended up. He's painfully aware that most people are dressed like Muggles - he's in his work robes, of course, nothing fancy but nothing that will pass for Muggle wear either. He doesn't want to risk casting an illusion, though, in case it draws unwanted attention.
