When I was young, my father told me :"Knowledge is power, France is bacon!"
After many years, the latter part of this sentence always makes me confused. Knowledge and power, France and bacon? What's the relationship between then?
But every time, when I ask the adults :"Knowledge is power, France is bacon!" They always nodding but without say others.
Or someone say:"Knowledge is power." I will follow on saying :"France is bacon!" Nobody show disagree and always nodding.
I am desperate.
One day, I opened a book, looked at this sentence:"Knowledge is Power.... by Francis Bacon"
