God is amazing. he really is. I feel Like God has been putting something on my heart.
"Its time to do, what you know God wants you to do"
there is a really good song that starts out saying:
"The mighty one the Lord, calls to all the heart, for a heart that will bow down, for a head that he can lift."
I feel like that is happening right now..I know its always happening, but in a different way. This time its not to the unsaved, but its to the christians. I feel like God is basically calling out for sanctification. I feel that as christians we've let ourselves get to complacent with sin. Its not even that we're doing the sinning, even though a good bit of it is. We are basically getting use to sin being around us. We will say that we'd never do it ourselves, but we seem to think its ok if we get entertained by it when we watch it in a movie, or listen about it in a song.
"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving." Ephesians 5:3&4
God wants us to be holy. and a part of it is for our benifit. Although I feel like to often when I mention holiness I have to explain why its beneficial for us, or the person will look at holiness as a bad thing. 99% of the time, when God asks us to do something..part of the reason is defiantly for our benefit. But our main reason for doing the things God said to do, should be because he said so..not cause we get something out of it. Our first priority needs to be God..and the amazing part is that he just doesn't demand it from us..he proves himself worthy of it.
