Quickly on the guitar,
I didn't tab anything out today, but it is as if a small musical miracle took place while I was sleeping. It's not like an arrangement just fell out of my guitar/brain when I started playing today, but I'm definitely beginning to understand how some of these bits and pieces are going to go together. I think the incessant hours of "getting a feel" for the way I want the chords/backing to sound is starting to take hold, like an understanding is developing in my brain, and I can play occasional notes on top of it that, in theory, could be a melody. And the minor chord section actually has something resembling the correct melody in places, and a the beginnings of a beautiful run-down to transition from verse to chorus.
I expect it is going to be a bit of a nightmare to tab, still, because the whole 3-5-3-5 thing still confuses me, and because there are just going to be *so* many notes. I'm hoping that I'll figure out some short sections entirely by ear that I can attempt to use to build around, from and to. And copy and paste into similar sounding sections so I can just tinker, rather than build from scratch.
