Maybe I watch 2-3 full games of rugby a year. I picked a lousy one to start this year - glad I'm not invested in the sport, that's for sure.
My head isn't great. Probably been a little off for a couple of days, truth be told. I'm not desperately bad, but I had quite a slow morning and I'm generally a little delicate.
Watched the two most recent X-men films tonight they were not so good the second (or third) time around. I'd love to see more stuff from that universe that deals with characters discovering / coming to terms with / dealing with their mutations. No need for grandiose plots, just the character journey - a little drama, sure. I guess that's where TV series work better - for a while, before they go off the deep end.
People hate Daredevil, and I get why, but I kinda like it. I like that there's some focus on the (lousy) elements of his life, what motivates him, troubles him, the myth around knowing there's an unusual someone out there. It's a cool concept, even if the film turned out a little unfortunate. A young Mystique, for instance... normal life, discovered powers... how did she end up on the run, what situation did she narrowly escape, how did she learn to be a petty criminal to keep herself alive? Maybe that's not the best example, her character was really young for all that, but maybe a character who went through stuff as an older teenager, or didn't have drama until college or whatever.
Now I'm humming and harring about the Grand Prix. I guess if I'm going to stay up and watch it I want to have had supper, be showered, and curled up in bed for it.

I've been reading the subreddits for Marvel Heroes, SWTOR and Grim Dawn quite a bit.
Marvel Heroes is tempting, especially after seeing the new Psylocke costume I'm half tempted to play some MH but I'm not *quite* sure to what end. Perhaps I feel I'm best off just having another extended break from the game until there are more characters released, more stuff to do. And next time I go in I can look for a Supergroup. Perhaps that'll mean the game is a bit stickier once I've done a bit of levelling or whatever else it is I do.
I am thinking next time I play it'll be with a view to playing Psylocke in the late-game - the summoner type thing I was doing before and seeing how it goes. My hesitation with MH for quite a long time is how bursty one-shotty it is, and what an unfortunate cluster-fuck the cosmic patrols are for melee.
Grim Dawn... nothing is happening at all but once I'm done watching movies and feeling delicate I'm pretty sure it'll be the game I boot up... I was really enjoying the shaman thing right before the D3 season started. I think I'm still moderately hopeful that Grim Dawn will have a playstyle that I find interesting going into the late-game. I'm not necessarily interested in playing a load of GD, but something I expressed a while ago is that I want to vaguely keep up with the builds.
And it seems to me like the upcoming builds are going to be big. The next act is going to be short, maybe we'll get the whole thing at once. After that there's *only* end-game left to give us. The two extra difficulties, increase in level cap and the devotion system. I can imagine we'll get some builds that don't necessarily introduce major features - it would make sense we might get a big balance build or two in amongst all the features. Anyway, I want to vaguely keep up - and there's plenty for me to do for this particular build since I lost everything swapping computers. I haven't finished A3, let alone redone any reputation grinds.
Actually, I should think about that. I think Shaman/Soldier could be my go-to thing, so maybe I should pick up on the pure soldier for reputation grinding since it's already high level. IDK, the shaman feels cooler, somehow. Maybe I'll see that through. So indecisive!
SWTOR... seems like it might just be kinda cool with the new expansion. Having had such a long break I'll probably have quite some fun with it for a while with all the new stuff going on. I was thinking that even before the expansion I should play a bit just to sort out my cargo holds, character names, other bits and pieces.
KK, shower, toast, snacks and Grand Prix time.
