The first Dresden Files trade, Welcome to the Jungle - set before Storm Front - was pretty good.
Picked up the third volume of Justice League International, but haven't gotten to it yet.
Starting to wonder if we'll be able to get tickets to Jon Stewart at UB.
Been working on notes for the crossover...
Class schedules will be a pain in the ass - they aren't well defined in the books, particularly outside of Harry's. As near as I can tell (right now, preliminary research-wise), of the core classes, only Potions (Gryffindor and Slytherin) and Herbology (Gryffindor and Hufflepuff) seem to have mixed classes, based on the books. I may decide that this is consistent for all years, and that Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw share Potions, and Slytherin and Ravenclaw share Herbology. Electives are where I can get interaction between my X-men - but it looks like I may need each one to take three classes each, which is not going to leave much time to do much else. Right now, I've got Care of Magical Creatures (Piotr and Illyana), Divination (Rachel and Illyana), Arithmancy (Kitty and Rachel), Ancient Runes (Kitty and Illyana), and Muggle Studies (Piotr and Rachel). I'm thinking of putting both Piotr and Kitty in Divination as well, to let them plan... I don't know though.
Other ideas -
* Illyana puts Kitty's name into the Goblet of Fire
* Piotr goes jogging in the Forbidden Forest, encounters centaurs - they tell him that the presence of the X-folks was not mapped in the stars, are hostile
* Kitty's inclusion throws off history - I'm using the Ukrainian Ironbelly as the fifth dragon, but what if she, and not Harry, gets the Horntail?
* The Room of Requirement - they've read the books, they know it's there - I think it may become the Danger Room of Requirement...
* I don't think Kitty can be part of the third task - I think the X-men will be discovered. Dunno if by Rita Skeeter or Hermione. I'll need another way to get the four of them to the graveyard.
* Each section should be characterized by the relationship of the X-person and a House member. Piotr and Cedric seem obvious. Illyana and... Draco, I think. Yeah, she isn't going to put up with his crap. I'm thinking Kitty and Cho, particularly since they'll both be dating people in Hufflepuff. And Rachel - either Ginny, or Fred and George. Dunno which.
