ENTRY #11
He was acting weird again.
Like the time before, when he kept bugging me to play the flute because he wouldn't be here the next day.

"Get into groups of six," Noda instructed. "I'm going to give each group a pile of index cards. Using these cards, you will stack them and try to build a tower as far off the ground as possible," Noda explained. "Each group has one minute. However, within your groups, I want you to pair off, and within these pairs, one person must keep their eyes shut while the other tells them where to place the card. Got it?"
"Hai," several students replied.
"Good. Now then, get into your pairs."
Kame had already managed to be put into the same group as Jin, though Shin and Aya were also with him. The groups had been selected depending on where they sat. For Kame and Shin, words were uncalled for. It was a given that they would pick each other as partners, but Jin didn't appear to notice this, or if he did, he didn't care.
"Kameee," Jin wailed. "Be my partner." It was more of a statement than a request, and as he walked to stand beside Kame, the latter raised a brow as he made eye-contact with Shin. Shin just shrugged and made a face, unsure of what to do.
"Okay, you should be ready by now," Noda informed, ready to start.
Kame let out a small sigh as his friends Shin and Aya paired up. The other two in his group stood near each other as well, signifying that they were another pair, and concluded that he would just have to settle for Jin.
"I'm not-" Kame started.
"You're closing your eyes," Jin smirked.
Kame blinked. "I am not."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to. You close your eyes."
"You're being a bit childish, don't you think?"
Kame stifled a laugh. "Me?"
"Trust me," Jin smiled.
Kame pursed his lips. There was no way he'd consent to this, but he couldn't let his answer take on a vocal form. Something about Jin and his fake smile was just too depressing today.
With a heavy sigh, Jin gave in with a frown. He reluctantly closed one eye, the other lingering on Kame before it followed suit.
"Aaaand, go!" Noda said as the second hand reached the twelve.
Kame watched Shin as he guided Aya's hand to a card, told her to fold it in half, and then place it on the table. The other pair imitated this as well and formed a square base for the tower.
"Now we can just lay one flat on top and do the same thing over again until time runs out," Shin explained.
The others nodded. Jin audibly sighed and held out his hand for Kame, who obviously wasn't going to take any action of his own accord.
Jin's hand was cold like before. Kame had seen the boy carrying gloves around in his back pocket; he wondered why Jin never made use of them.
"No, wait, Jin!" Kame muttered.
"Hey, I'm not even moving. My hand is completely under your control," Jin pointed out.
"But you're not dropping the card at the right time," Kame complained. "If you drop it from too high up you're just going to knock the thing down."
"Uhm. Your fault?" Jin cracked a small smile. "I can't tell when you want me to drop the card. You don't communicate well.
{ ♥ }
Well yeah I don't communicate well.
I don't want to communicate.
Didn't matter anyway.
He knocked over our tower and we had to start all over again.
We came in second though.
Second out of three...
