The CD Release Show (in a nut shell)

Dec 22, 2004 11:40

Wow. That's one word to describe Monday night. There's also like a thousand other words to describe it.

200 people is a lot of people. I've never seen 200 people at any show in Mt. Pleasant. Guitar Club 02 maybe. But anyway onto the show. Pretty much all of my friends were there, at least most of them.

CD Release Show? Well Accomplished. Sold 50 cds. That was all we had made too. We gave away a few, but now 50 people from Charleston have our cd. 'Eyes Like Anime' - our 1st E.P. The E.P. features five songs, three recorded at Modern Music Studios in Columbia, and two at the home studio. Track Listing: 1. Promise To Be 2. Lainey 3. Inlets Abroad 4. Eyes Like Anime 5. Inlets Abroad acoustic.

I can't have wished for a better show. JT, Ford, & Nick said it was our best show ever. Many more people said the same. Thank you JT, Ford, Anthony C, Dan C, Chris W, Nick, Joesam, Gregg, Austin, Kevin W, Jesse W, Micah, Ryan, Golden Palace, the barefoot revolution, Parker, & JRod. Thank you Molly, Katherine, Kaitlin, Kelly, Rachel Ki, Ashleigh R, Rachel Ke, Abby, ASHLEY (jamies cousin), HANNAH!, Ashley M, and Jamies mom.

Promoting was a success. All the bands had draw. Making copies at school and office depot paid off. I brought like 400 flyers to The Working Title show, about 200 to school, 20 full page flyers to Cat's, many My Space bulletins, many My Space comments, several message board posts.
Through The Never, Golden Palace - awesome, the barefoot revolution, Parker, Aslan, & Outsmarting Simon.

This was our 4th time playing with Outsmarting Simon. IT WILL NOT BE THE LAST EITHER. We love that band. They are amazing people as well as musicians. Each show they have played with us has gotten bigger each time, and this time was no exception. We told people to stay for Outsmarting Simon and people did. If you stayed for Outsmarting Simon, thank you, they appreciated it more than anything. If you read this, PJ, Brian, Brian, or Greg: Thank you guys. You guys are amazing people. Words can't really describe what it's like to play with & know such an awesome band.

As for Aslan: I love you guys. Thank you so much for letting me have the time of my life, giving me the opportunity to fill a dream, being the best friends there are. I love you guys.

If you missed the show, we're playing Friday, January 7th @ Twin River Lanes Bowling Alley w/ GOLDEN PALACE, ONLY HALF PARIS, The Stale, An Axe Within Arms Reach & On Barren Ground. More details to come soon.

Take care
-nathan
