We didn't go...

On Sunday, Robb and I were supposed to go snowboarding. It didn't happen. We ended up going to one of Robb's coworkers places Saturday night to play games, and we didnt get home until 5am. We decided, regettably, to post-pone our snowboard experience for next weekend, perhaps.

Instead, we had a yummy breakfast, at noon. Took everything out of Robb's room, measured and decided what kind of wood and size of wood we'd need to make Robb a smaller desk. Then we went to Home Depot and picked up the supplies (2x3s, 2x2s, a piece of particle board (because it's cheaper than plywood), wood glue and screws) and went back to his place, where Robb started making his desk. The laundry, gah the laundry. We had decided to wash all of Robb's bed sheets, because, dood, they were getting nasty. (The boy doesn't like doing laundry). And the washing machine decided that it didn't want to work properly, so I had to take all of his laundry to the laundrymat and do it there. I spent from 2:30 pm until 5 pm working on that stupid pile of laundry. Those dryers were the pain. A quarter for 5 minutes of drying. And it takes like 45 minutes to dry a comforter. And he had three!

Anyway, finished laundry (folded it for him even), and when I came back to the house, the desk was done. So we put the room back in order (he called this process, Project O.R.C. (Organize Remove and Clean or something like that)) and then went grocery shopping, and movie picking. Going to a video store with Robb takes forever. I go in, find 10-20 movies that I'd like to see, and he finds... none. He refuses to leave, however, until he has looked at every single movie they have. And not the new releases, which are organized nicely and you can walk around and see them all. No, he has to go into the stacks, and look at all the old movies, that haven't changed since the LAST time he did this. I told him to research it next time, so that he knows what hes looking for.

We ended up getting A History of Violence, which was a good movie, and had a lot of "What the hell? Where did that come?" moments, which Robb likes. So that ended up being a good choice. For dinner we had Chicken Swiss or Chicken Florentine (we had two stuffed chicken breasts, he had one and I had the other) and taco salad. It ended up being a good day, despite the obvious lack of snowboarding.

life, weekend, robb
