Ahaha Go Me [Sketch]

Feb 06, 2009 11:53

Yeah...I know I said I was going to be sticking up a sketch post last night, well I ran into some problems formatting some of my scans and I had to hunt down the software for my camera so i could download my pictures. Gah it took me a good hour and a half just to do that, and them another hour just to load the three sketches on photobucket. Lame, I know. But hey no complaining! It's being done now!

I tried to mark this up in Corel as much as I could, as I felt the scan made my pencils waaaaay too light. The circle on the bottom-right is my decided design, though I think I will add a second circle on the outside. The building will be all black. Incase you can't read my horrid handwriting, seriously wtf is up with it, the words behind L.E.D.G.E. are: Logistics Engineering Defensive Guardian Espionage . Yeah it might not make that much sense, but Marvel's SHIELD [Strategic, Hazard, Intervention, Espionage, Logistic, Directive] is quite the mouthful too. So Yarr. This will be going dead center on my coverpage, along with disguising the rest of the required info, Name, Date, Professor, Section, as other more...governmental titles.

Next up are two prelim sketches of two Sculptures I'm working on.

I don't know why, but the scanner turned the soft yellow and blue coloring job into a botched chemical tanning accident. I had an awful time trying to get this to fit on my scanner as this was drawn on 11.75" x 14" paper and I had drawn and inked it almost all the way to the edges of the paper. The sculpture part hasn't been started yet.

This guy just sorta sprang out one night while I was watching NCIS. I was channeling my inner Abby and playing some rock music during the commercial and hashed out this beastie. He is in progress, I haven't worked on him in a while as I've been doing some painting, but he is still in the first stage where I build his basic body shape and fiddle with his wire parts. He's getting built out of Fimo, god I love those giant blocks, and will have color accents with SuperSculpy.

And I guess I'll throw up whore out some piccies of my fishie babies.

First up is mah baby Gadget. He is a Halfmoon betta, the flash on the camera really washed him out, he's a really beautiful fish with blue, green, black, red, and white tones throughout his scales/fins. Very tech-y. [FYI I named him after the pet of the same name my character Hack has.] I catch him watching me alot, kinda creepy.

This is my tank...err their tank. It's a 3 gallon acrylic beaut, made by Eclipse. I used to have a 5 gallon hexagonal one made by the same company, their tanks are great with a very low noise filter/hydro wheel. The bamboo-ish plants in the center are new, they were one big plant that I broke up when I planted them in. If you have the chance, use live plants, they're just so much prettier, and you don't run the risk of your fish getting hurt on some fake/plastic plants. For fish I have Gadget, the betta, 4 Zebra Danios [2 shortfin and 2 longfin] and I recently got a Chinese Algae Fish.

Here is a quick snapshot I managed to snag of one of my Zebra Danios. They are really great fish, even if they like to tease my betta and algae fish. Because of their rather vigorous eating habits, they like to hog all the flakes, I've taken to feeding them a few flakes throughout the day, intermixing the fish flakes and the betta food. They're rather hard to tell apart, and they don't sit still long enough for me to find any marks, I tend to just call them the Zebras.

And here is rare footage of Crypt, my kinda psycho Chinese Algae fish. He mainly hangs out behind the rock wall, like in the picture, making brief appearences doing a frantic cleaning of the tank. He looked smaller in the store, maybe because he was in a tank with big ol' angel-like fish. He went bananas the day I brought him home, Wednesday, and got into a fight with Gadget. He also tweaks when I catch him cleaning, he'll stop and sit there staring at me, then run away to his hidey hole.
