Cast On TV in Japan? Might as well say something funny.

Apr 20, 2007 15:07

today I was interviewed to be on tv. again. This will b the 3rd time I'll b on TV in Japan. In America I've only be featured in the newspaper. アメリカでは私が目立ちないな~ LOL
でも気付いた事がある。緊張している時にスゴク変な日本語を行ってしまうわ、あたし。 I think I'll never be fluent at Japanese, because even when I KNOW what to say, I always say funny things to people when I have to speak politely.
I have no problem speaking to friends or anything, but I seem to have the idea that when it's MOST important to speak correctly, that it's best to fuck everything up.
For example, the kind of speach that ppl that have been studying Japanese for ONE FUCKING WEEK can do, I manage to fuck up.

Yes. I said 「テキサス州のアメリカから着ました。」(I'm from Texas's America.) on TV.
SWEET. Well, I guess I just wanted to alert the world that Texas own's America.

Well, we all knew that Texans have pride, but DAMN. Now I look as stupid as our president ^_^;

That aside, all the host wanted to talk about were the food proportion differences between
America and Japan. Which I didn't have too much to say about. So instead I talked about the difference with table settings, of using one plate in america, and 15 in Japan. Which they thought was amusing. Good Job me.
I hope I don't get interviewed again for a long while, so I can somehow get better at not being retarded. That would help my public image I think; not being retardidarito.
