Sorry for not updating this story for so long, I don’t even know what took me so long. This is only the first half of the chapter. Second part will be updated tomorrow!
I’m really insecure about this one, since it’s been so long. I’ll be looking forward to your feedback! I love you guys so much, so even though I sound selfish, I’d ask you to forgive me for the delay.

Venom
Chapter 9- Part A

Yuu was allowed to leave the yard early. The time he’d been in the detention center, he kept silent, studiously refrained himself from any physical or verbal interaction with other inmates. He could see glimpses of Tora or Saga around during lunch, or when they were made to work outside, but he didn’t even try to recognize them. He was sure Hitsugi’s clan didn’t consist of only the three of them and it was only a matter of time when a new leader emerged. Once a new leader surfaced, they’d want him to join the clan again. Yuu Shiroyama was an asset nobody wanted to lose and that much, Yuu’s known the moment he’d assassinated his parents’ killers with his own hands. But he’d rather rot in the prison cell then go back to that life. He’d rather stay behind the bars than to resurface in Kouyou’s life once again. He was nothing but a bad omen in Kouyou’s life. His beautiful blond angel...

Kouyou...

Just thinking about the golden haired boy made his blood hum in his veins. He wanted to break the world apart just to reach the honey blond once again, just to see his smile and his lips against his own. It was a magical feeling, he could recall and whenever he thought about Kouyou his mind reeled back to the day he pushed Kouyou out of the prison, exposing the darker side of him to the younger male- and it was something he never wanted to do again. He wished he could turn back time now, he wished he were a little gentler because Kouyou must have been gone through a lot of trouble to be able to meet him back in the prison, but in a way he was glad too. He was glad that he made sure that the blond wasn’t going to come back to him again. He was glad that Kouyou was safe, and preferably in Akira’s arms. It was okay.

He wondered what he’d do for the extra time he was granted that day for his well manners. Finally he decided on taking a long, cold shower. The inmates were all out, so he should have the shower all to himself, and hopefully he’d be able to clean himself properly after a long time.

But before he reached the shower room, a keening moan reached his ears, as if someone was trying to stiffle the noise. He immediately realized what was being done behind the wall, and he almost fought to keep the burning blush away. He cursed inwardly, so much for a long, cold shower, he thought, but then his ears perked up as he recognized the voice.

“Please...Tora...Unnn...” Despite the distortion of the clean, masculine voice that was now turned all husky and throaty, Yuu knew that it was Saga.

He realized that despite all their turmoils, these two have found each other and the realization made him crave for a certain honey haired boy as well, with topaz pools for perfect almond shaped eyes. For a moment back there he wanted to have Kouyou in his arms, have him moan his name just like Saga called out Tora’s. With Tora’s records, he’d be given Capital punishment for sure, and somehow Yuu felt happy for the fact that Saga didn’t decide to turn his face away from the brunet, even for everything Tora did, it seemed too cruel for him to die alone.

“Saga...oh God, baby...” A warm trickle went down Yuu’s spine at the hoarse tone, his imaginations running wild as he pictured vividly the pleasure laden face of the honey blond squirming underneath him. He was supposed to get a long shower but he wasn’t sure if he should interrupt the other two. Still, he had this sick desire to enter the shower and pull Tora and Saga apart, a part of him completely loathing the fact that he couldn’t have the one he craved while they found their own personal heaven.

A particularly loud grunt and a sensual scream from Saga caused a tingling sensation go down Yuu’s stiffened spine, warmth pooling at the bottom of his stomach. The noises and his vivid imaginations catalyzing his internal lust, and he almost panicked when he began to feel himself getting aroused.

“Tora..” A muffled whimper, close to a sob echoed throughout the empty space, “I..I don’t wanna lose you.”

The tone was so fragile, so lost and Saga sounded so helpless as he uttered those words, nothing like the cold-blooded killer that he really was and Yuu felt a sting behind his eyelids. If they were not assassins, maybe they would have gone to a nice college, maybe Tora would have found Saga sipping down coffee in an empty cafeteria and offered him some company. Maybe Saga would turn all pink and shy- just like he used to when he was assigned as Yuu's trainee in the early days, and a sweet relationship will bloom out of it. Yuu almost chuckled at his own imagination, he had no idea he was such a hopeless romantic. And it somewhat hurt him to know that instead of making love in a soft, fluffy bed they resorted to fucking each other in a dirty prison shower against the mossy, soiled wall. There was a sense of utter wretchedness about the whole scenario and he couldn’t help but feel sorry for them.

“Takashi.” Tora sighed, and Yuu flinched on the other side of the wall. He had never heard anyone call Saga by his real name, and the devotion that dripped out of Tora’s voice was so intense that it seemed almost impossible that someone like Tora could be so madly in love with someone.

“Takashi,” Tora spoke again and Yuu heard a small whimper, “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. So you need to promise me something.”

“What is it?” The broken voice resonated throughout the hollow space, and Yuu could almost hear the desperate tears in Saga’s voice.

“You have to promise me that you’ll make your life worth living once you get out of here. They’re going to take us in custody, and I forbid you to open your mouth, no matter what they do. Do you understand, baby?”

Yuu furrowed his brows in confusion, and then he heard Saga yell, "What are you talking about?”

“I’m going to confess...”

“NO!”

A loud thump followed by a small groan, and Yuu knew that Tora must have trapped the smaller man against the wall.

“No, you listen.” Tora growled, “I’m gonna confess and that will leave both you and Shiroyama free of all charges. I want you to leave this country, I want you to find someone you truly love. I will be punished even in the afterlife, that much I’m sure of, but I wanna die knowing that you’re happy.”

The last words came muffled by silent sobs, and frantic ‘no’s and 'don't-do-this-to-me's, but Yuu didn’t care. It wasn’t possible for Tora to be like this, like some sort of saint. But he could see that he was doing it all for the love of Saga. He wanted the smaller blond to be free, to be happy and he was willing to sacrifice his own life for it, just like Yuu’d do happily for that one honey blond boy. Somehow, he felt like he and Tora were the same on one aspect. When it came to love, they were both ready to sacrifice anything...and everything. They were both going to tear the world apart if it meant that'd keep their loved ones safe.

“You can’t do this,” Saga whimpered, “I’ll confess too, I’ll die with you. If I can’t be with you I can’t be with anyone else.”

Those words felt so achingly familiar to him, the same words repeated, only by a different person this time and the similarity of the emotions were so eerily substantial, he almost felt like it was Kouyou talking to him again. The last time Kouyou came to see him in the detention center, he'd uttered the same words of devotion.

If I can’t be with you, I can’t be with anyone else.

“Stop being a jerk, Takashi!” Tora screamed, and Yuu could feel exactly what the other man was feeling- panic, desperation, mortification, anger, and most importantly, undiluted love. There he was ready to sacrifice everything for the one he loved so dearly, but Saga was about to ruin it all, throw it all away. Oh Yuu knew how anguished Tora felt right then, how painful it was to hear from your lover that they were willing to sacrifice themselves too not even recognizing the fact that everything was done for their sake. He felt the same hurt clawing inside his chest. He had a feeling that Kouyou wasn’t going to sit still, and the blond would go way too far to save him- and the thought scared him.

“Tora...” Saga whimpered, not believing that Tora was yelling at him. Even then Tora’s face looked so painfully beautiful, his dark eyes mirroring nothing but pain and grief and also...love. None of them knew that they were being spied upon and even if they knew they didn’t have any intention to waste the small amount of time they had. It was almost too heated for the blond man, his shirt hanging limply from his thinner frame, hair tousled and trousers hastily pulled up together after the steamy encounter. Tora looked a little better though, his hands supporting Saga’s weight against the wall, refusing to let go for a second. It felt perfect, Saga’s body fitting perfectly against the curves of his body. It was perfect. And he was glad that he actually made love to Saga when he was all sober, his brain all functional and when lust wasn’t the only trigger. He was happy that he finally gained Saga’s trust back and he was happy he confessed. His life was complete, well, almost. Before he died he needed to make sure Saga was safe.

“Shi,” Tora sighed softly, nuzzling the blond hair of his lover, “I’m ready, you’re not. You were just dragged into that hole and it wasn’t your fault. I joined willingly, every murder I committed I did it for the thrill. I deserve the punishment. But you...babe, you’re just too beautiful, you don’t deserve this okay? I want to see you happy...”

And Yuu couldn’t take it anymore. The whole thing was tearing him apart. He didn’t understand. What was so wrong about yearning to be with the one you loved? Why was life so damn unfair? He clamped his palms over his ears as he dashed out, completely forgotten about the anticipated shower and as one of the wardens found him running away aimlessly he was simply grabbed and shoved inside the tiny cell once more.

That night he couldn’t sleep. What if Tora did confess? That would liberate him of all charges, but that didn’t really confirm him a better life. For one, it completely crushed his ego to be free stepping on someone’s life, no matter how many crimes that person had committed in his life. Second, clans like this were not going to break down completely just because one of their leaders were dead. The clan will be underworld for a while, and soon a new leader will emerge. They’ll hunt him down because he knew way too much. And when he was found, it was either join the clan again, or die because he just knew too many secrets.

Grabbing his raven locks between his fingers, Yuu stared down at the wall in front of him as if some miraculous solution would appear on it’s rough surface by some sort of magic. When he heard the shrill alarm he realized that he’d spent a whole night thinking and coming up with nothing at all.

**
Hiroto fidgeted with the hem of his shirt as he stood against the boundary wall of Kouyou’s school. He couldn’t make up his mind. It was too early for students to arrive. There was still a soft curtain of mist, the sun hadn't risen properly yet. The light was soft in a mystique way and the air was so fresh the petite guy couldn’t help but take a few lungfuls. He was feeling so guilty for sneaking out of the house like that, it was almost like betraying Shou in a way. And he knew if he called Kouyou now, he’d actually break the older man’s trust.

He didn’t want to think about the consequences when he went back home. He’d have to face the questions he wasn’t ready to answer and he knew Shou wouldn’t ever forgive him if he came to know about his intentions. He was fighting with himself, an inner battle to make sure Kouyou is safe and sound, and that’d require the blond to be left in the dark. Another option was to call him now, and take him down the path that would ruin the teen, but at the same time will make sure that Yuu and Kouyou were together. Even though he was sure this will mean that Kouyou can never be the same again, he was willing to take the risk. He’d seen what Yuu means to the honey blond, and he was ready to take all the blame.

Dialing the honey blond’s number, he waited patiently. It was too early, and he could guess that Kouyou would probably be sleeping. Hiroto couldn’t help but gulp down guiltily as he heard the blond teen on the other side of the line, a raspy hello resounding in his ears.

The conversation didn’t take long. Hiroto sighed as he pocketed the phone and pressed his back against the brick wall remembering the way Kouyou sounded so eager the moment Yuu’s name was spoken. Kouyou didn’t care if he was going to die, he didn’t care that his life was going to be ruined forever. Hiroto said that there was a way to free Yuu, and Kouyou didn’t need to think twice. Hiroto could hear the blond shuffling around already as he kept talking, the sound of the bathroom faucet opening. Kouyou couldn’t wait a second.

Hiroto’s knees felt weak. He was doing this for the sake of Kouyou’s love, but he was doing this the wrong way. He slid against the wall and slumped on the asphalt on his bottom, eventually curling his knees and resting his head between them.

“I’m sorry...” he whispered to nobody in particular.

The small blond dozed off a bit, unintentionally. It was still too early, and he didn’t have a good sleep the previous night. He loved Kouyou, he really did. The honey blond was like a brother to him already. The time they had shared in the Headquarters, the way Kouyou had trusted him immediately only caused Hiroto to feel even guiltier. But he also couldn’t forget the helpless look on Kouyou’s face when he came out of after meeting Yuu, a meeting Shou had somehow managed for him. His sparkling and full-of-life eyes were dim and distant, as if he’d given up on himself, given up on everything in the world and Hiroro had been thinking about a way to make him forget the pain. It didn’t take long for him to understand that Yuu meant so bloody much to Kouyou that the only way to make the honey blond happy again was to bring them together.

Hiroto snapped his eyes open as his sensitive ears picked up the thud of heavy boots nearby and soon there was someone sitting before him, restraining him by putting a hand on his shoulder.

“What the...” the blond boy exclaimed rather loudly, taken aback by the surprise visit of the man he had called the night before. He didn’t expect Toshiya to come over in person, though. Toshiya was not the kind of person to take such extensive risks, was he?

Toshiya had a bad history, a rough life. Not knowing his parents, fending off the streets, getting acknowledged by a drug dealer and then there was no looking back. Nobody knew where he lived, police had been on his tail since he can remember. People had seen him in the most common places like central city bars or in posh restaurants entertaining a partner male or female alike, but he’d always known how to protect himself. People in the underworld had nicked him ‘Totchi’, many considered him an idol and wanted to work for him.

Hiroto owes him so much. He couldn’t remember clearly how he’d found the leader, but he’d been drunk. With an empty wallet and hungry stomach, he’d somehow managed to enter a club using his looks and little tweaks of his computer managed to turn the close circuit cameras, and his companions managed to push down a generous amount of tequila down his system. The next thing he knew he was waking up in a lavish bedroom covered in comfortable blankets and wearing fresh clothes. He even sniffed his own body only to find out that the traces of stinky vomit had been cleaned off him.

“Toshiya...” Hiroto whispered. Old memories resurfaced as he instinctively reached forward, feeling a pair of warm palms sliding along his neck and stopping on his cheeks. The blond didn’t have to think twice as he leaned into the touch and gladly received the lips that were reaching for his own, alll warm and inviting as Toshiya kept a strong hold on the back of his neck and Hiroto was somewhat grateful for that, because he was sure he’d have fainted by the intoxication if the other didn’t hold him strongly.

Toshiya left a series of teasing and demanding kisses against Hiroto’s exceptionally plush lips, some as light as air and some strong enough to knock his brain out and soon the younger lost count of the number of kisses and the time. Relaxing under the older male’s hold, he didn’t even remember to ask him to stop or let go of him because God it’s been so long since he’d felt the other taste him this way, forcefully and sweetly at the same time. He gladly welcomed the sly tongue that prodded against his gasping lips, forgetting all about Shou for the time being. Toshiya...it’s been just so long...

Hiroto panted as a desperate whine ellicited from his throat when Toshiya finally let go, a shining line of saliva delicately connecting their lips until the raven haired male exerted his tongue to give a teasing swipe against his moistened lips causing Hiroto to gulp visibly.

“Baby,” Toshiya smiled gently, Hiroto’s baby-cute face still trapped between his big, calloused hands, “I missed you.”

Hiroto flinched at that. Did he miss Toshiya too? Did he really miss Toshiya, or did he miss the physical pleasure that the older was capable of giving him? Guilt rushed all over his senses as he took in the serene expression on his mentor slash owner slash ex-boyfriend’s sharp features. Who was he betraying now? Was it Shou? Toshiya? Kouyou? Or himself?

He didn’t even want to know, but he also knew that he wanted this. The sense of danger, the exhilaration as he stared into those deep dark orbs the older man possesed, hypnotizing him almost. And the way Hiroto stared him down, Toshiya knew he’d been cheated on.

“So, how’s he?”

“Huh?” Hiroto stuttered at the sudden question. There were two people in his mind that moment, one was definitely Toshiya, and the other person was probably running breathlessly to meet him at the moment.

“Aww, baby,” Toshiya laughed, the kind of laugh that always chilled Hiroto’s blood, “Mr. Advocate, the one you’re living with now.”

The small blond lowered his head. Of course, Shou.

“I leave you for a few months and you allow Hitsugi to die, and start living with someone else. What am I going to do with you!” the raven haired male sighed dramatically, fingers pushing through the shoulder length blond locks of the other and curling around them in a painful grip. Hiroto flinched. He knew this was a really bad idea to get involved with Toshiya again. He wanted to push the older man away and run for his life, but he knew that won’t be possible, at least not anymore.

“I..I didn’t know where to go!” the smaller of the two whined, flinching at the sting against his scalp but didn’t try to free himself. He knew he was lying. He knew that Toshiya had always known every single one of his moves, and all he had to do is make a call or leave a message on a piece of paper asking for help, and the older man would come get him. Their relationship was not just a whim. Yet, he was too scared to get back there, to the underworld and for once wanted to live a normal life, and then he’d met Shou. He might still have called for Toshiya, but Shou’s appearance just changed the whole scenario.

“Pon,” the raven sighed playfully, “please don’t lie, I don’t like it when I have to hurt you.”

“I..” Hiroto began shakily, “I didn’t want to go back. I wanted to start over and I... Totchi, I’ve never ceased loving you, I swear!”

Something flared inside the other man’s eyes, and Hiroto shuddered unconsciously, but the next moment the expression on Toshiya’s face softened and the grip against the blond’s hair loosened.

“The things you do to me,” the raven let out a small chuckle, “sometimes I can’t believe myself. You look at me with those eyes of yours and I just melt.”

A delectable blush appeared on the smaller boy’s chubby cheeks as he trapped his plump bottom lip between his teeth. Toshiya’s hands cupped the cute face again and pressed a kiss on his forehead, “I swear, if I get caught or die, that’d be because of you, yet I can’t help doing everything for you.”

Hiroto kept staring at his lap as if something fascinating was taking place between his entwined fingers, forcefully denying eye-contact with the taller male despite the grip against his scalp. He flinched as Toshiya let go of him, and he almost stumbled backwards and somehow managed to steady himself with a grip against the end of the raven’s dark scarf.

“And every time you fall...” Toshiya whispered, letting the sentence hang dangerously in the chilled morning breeze. Oh and he didn’t need to elaborate it for Hiroto because the petite blond knew so well who’d always been there for him everytime he falls.

It had always been Toshiya, not Shou, no matter how he admired and adored the advocate. And Hiroto knew it will, always, be Toshiya.

“I’m sorry,” He mumbled, softly, apologetically, ignoring the suffocating ache plaguing his heart as he leaned in to hide his face into the older’s chest, inviting with an aura of protection, suddenly feeling like he had nothing to worry about.

“I know you are.”

A sob almost wrecked out of Hiroto’s throat at how gentle and helpless Toshiya sounded, how unbelievably tenderly the gang leader seemed to treat him while he had always but betrayed his trust every single time, only going back to him when he seeked some assistance- just like now.

And Hiroto makes a mental note to ask Toshiya to take him in again after he’d done fixing Kouyou up. His life was fucked up for good, and no matter how Shou tried, he would never be able to blend into that world of normal people. He was lured into the darkness for good, and he was an idiot trying to pretend, trying to find some happiness with his high-school crush.

Their sensitive ears picked up the shallow thumping noise in the distance almost simultaneously and they both froze on instinct. Even though Hiroto knew this could be none other than the honey blond friend of his, being with Toshiya was making him more responsive now. He could almost sense the change in the air as the footsteps drew closer and closer and Toshiya had already vanished into thin air. And Hiroto knew, the older was just lurking in the shadows now, only to make his grand entrance when he deemed it safe.

Kouyou clutched his midsection, panting harshly as his knees collapsed against the rough asphalt. His whole body was breaking out in a sweat and he felt like he’d asphyxiate as he tried to acknowledge the smaller male’s presence. He knew breaking out in a run like that wasn’t a good idea, but Hiroto did say he had a solution- a solution that might give Kouyou another chance to meet Yuu, not for once, but perhaps, as many times as he wanted to. And when it came to Yuu, the honey blond wasn’t the kind of person to linger on that.

“Hiro...pon...” Kouyou gasped, cheeks flushed and beads of perspiration glistening against the pale skin of his neck. Hiroto felt something constrict in his chest. Kouyou trusted him, and he didn’t know if he was going to break this trust or not.

“Kou-chan, how have you been?” Hiroto kept up the smile, even though he felt this pain engulf him like a sharp knife, cutting through his very soul. And as Kouyou looked up at him, with this bright smile Hiroto hadn't seen in ages and anticipation and excitement glimmering in those doe eyes, Hiroto felt all the air knock out if his fragile chest.

The blond offered a brilliant smile as he nodded enthusiastically, almost hoping that Hiroto had somehow managed to bring Yuu out here... perhaps the raven haired male was about to give him a surprise.

“I’m great!” Kouyou exclaimed, “now that I’m going to see Yuu!”

Oh, and Hiroto felt like the shittiest person ever. Kouyou actually believed that he was going to see Yuu...now...

And it wasn’t a sight Hiroto appreciated as he noticed the blond’s smile disappear from his face and his beautiful features turn pale and forlorn. Toshiya and emerged out of the shadows and leaned against the mossy wall, his feline face illuminated by the first light of the morning as Kouyou let out an audible gasp. This man...

The familiar sensation of dread pooled at the bottom of his stomach as Kouyou recalled the time he was hurt and torn by a person he’d never known, taking his dignity along with his own identity as Tora fucked him senseless against rough sheets...the tiger, they called him.

And this man could very well rival Tora’s bloodcurdling personality.

“So this is the one you’re talking about?” the leader chuckled as he observed the newcomer. Kouyou hadn’t expected someone like this man when Hiroto called him, and to tell the truth, he couldn’t even make himself trust the smaller blond anymore. Yet, it was about Yuu, it was about getting Yuu back and staying with him for the rest of his life. He didn’t care about his education, family or friends. He just wanted the ache inside of his heart to cease, those dreamless nights he’s been spending since as long as he can remember. He wanted this to go away, and the only way is to get Yuu back.

Kouyou was already intimidated. The raven haired male wearing all black and a scarf covering half his face, those dead, glass like eyes scrutinizing him. He’d never been in a situation like this before. He didn’t know who this man is, but something told him that he isn’t going to like what he’s gonna hear. And that strange feeling this man was giving him...chilling him to the very core.

“I’d rather we talk inside the car,” Toshiya commanded after a few moments of painful silence, “I’ve already been out for too long for my liking. I’d leave first, you can follow Hiroto.”

Kouyou would consider the next half an hour the longest of his life. The car he’d gotten into was just another normal vehicle and judging the rickety appearence from the outside, he’d never have suspected anything out of it. He’d tried asking Hiroto where they were going, or what that person was actually without any satisfactory answer. The only significant answer that the smaller blond had given him was a request to trust him and Toshiya, because it was all being done for his sake.

And for the first time since he’d known Hiroto, Kouyou started doubting him. He almost wanted to run away, but then he was suddenly being shoved inside the car and it wasn’t a good feeling to be confined by tinted windows. All of a sudden, Kouyou found himself detached from the rest of the world.

The moment Toshiya ignited the engine and the vehicle came to life, Kouyou found his voice and exclaimed, “Wait!”

Hiroto and Toshiya both turned back their heads to face him, the later with an amused smiled and quirked brows as he noticed the flustered look on the blond’s pretty face.

“Something bothering you?”

Kouyou nodded his head furiously as his eyebrows scrunched up, “I’m not going to go with someone like you, someone I don’t know! How can I even trust you?”

“I’m not going to force you to trust me,” Toshiya let out a mirthless laugh, the sound curling and unfurling like the darkest nightmare and caressed the blond’s flesh, With his heart thumping wildly and brain racing to calculate some sort of escape route out of this dreadful situation, Kouyou narrowed his aureate eyes, trying to read the man’s face only to end up with snake like eyes probing through the last barrier of his self-resilience.

The honey blond diverted his gaze to the smaller male then, looking for some kind of assurance, hoping that Hiroto at least would have some sort of answer for him. Even though his mind was constantly alarming him to make a run for him, to stop trusting Hiroto, he still didn’t want to give up on the person who’d been his greatest source of support back then.

And to his utter disappointment, he found Hiroto avoid eye contact with him too studiously to be considered polite. At that moment, Kouyou felt helpless... all over again.

“Hiroto, should I?” he whimpered desperately nonthelesless. The situation wasn’t exactly what he’d call friendly, but the prospect of being able to meet Yuu was too tempting, absorbing his logics. Even with the sense of danger clawing at him from all sides, he couldn’t fight the temptation.

“I trust him,” was what Hiroto mumbled out with his head lowered, and Kouyou figured he’d already come too far to back out now.

Soon, the honey blond found himself occupying the back seat of the car as Hiroto rounded the vehicle to take the passenger seat on front, and all of a sudden there was a glass barrier separating him from his ‘hosts’. His first impression was that this was a scene from a movie, a very bad movie. Kouyou screamed on top of his lungs, hitting the unyielding glass barrier, and when he realized that the doors are locked and he had no chance of escaping, he panicked. He’d had enough experience to know what this meant. Abduction.

He couldn’t think, but what hurt him most was the fact that he trusted Hiroto. Never for once, he’d have suspected the sweet, small blond boy, the same person who’d protected him when he needed him, when Yuu couldn’t be there. He trusted the smaller boy with all his life.

“Hiroto...” he tried one last time, screaming the other’s name frantically, punching the unyielding barrier until his knuckles turned blood red. Hiroto turned to face him and he could decipher ‘I’m sorry’ from the way the blond’s plump lips moved. After that, it was darkness.
