It's been a while. I'd like to say a ton has happened, but I'd be lying-- only a few things. I was completely overwhelmed jumping back into school. I am proud to say that I have successfully completed my first graduate class. I got an A!!!

After my adventure to Arizona, Natalie and I hoped on a plane from Phoenix to Minneapolis only to jump onto a plane headed for Philly. We met up with Lindsey & the girls, and then road-tripped it to Atlantic City for Lindsey's bachelorette party. I was so dehydrated and over tired, so I kept fully hydrated in between drinks and drank like a record high (for beers approx. 11) and didn't get sick. Awkwardly, Lindsey got super wasted after two glasses of wine and after dinner with the boys wound up sick and in bed by 9:30pm. Because all of us girls were annoyed by her bridezilla ways, we left her in the hotel and PARTIED with the band in the pub. It was fun. The next day, we had a low key time in Philly and went to Helium which is a comedy club. Despite having some fun, I would definitely say it wasn't worth all the money. That's what happens when the bride is ridiculous and plans her own bachelorette without taking into account her bridesmaids opinion or letting them plan anything.

Putting a stupid weekend behind me, I started my summer class and began to nanny a whole lot. My class took a lot out of me. Before I knew it, we traveled to Syracuse for the wedding. It was the worst wedding I have ever been in let alone been to. HORRIBLE. I did have this little flirty thing going on with the bartender, Will. Hot stuff but nothing like the hockey players I'm into.

I just started work again teaching at the middle school. I start my graduate internship in January, so it'll be sad to leave the school I've been teaching in for almost three years. My new co-worker just got his Masters from the same grad school I'm in now and he basically told me there are ZERO elementary teaching jobs available in the area. This made me a little worried, but has also given me a reason to move.

Since conversing about teaching jobs (or the lack there of) with Lewis, I have really begun to think about moving to Nashville after I my Masters.Tennessee has the reciprocity program for certification, so I think I'd be OK. Something else has come up that may be helping me make the decision to move. So my grandma turned 90 this year, and she's the only grandparent I have left. I never got to meet my dad's parents so naturally, talking about a time without her is kind of devastating. Any how, it's getting to the point where she's really uncomfortable living alone. She's super anxious that something is going to happen to her while she's all alone and it's really driving her crazy. Seeing as how she owns the house, she literally has very few expenses. The idea was for her to move into our house( which is just down the street) so this way we can rent out her house & make some money off it. The market isn't great to actually sell her house which probably could go for just under $1 million, so we'd figured we'd wait until we could get more for it. Basically, she turned down the old folk home because it would eat away at our inheritance. Thankfully she's in good health now, but there's no telling how long she'll be here. If we do sell the house when the market improves, I will come into a shit load of $. I hate talking about something like that because of what it would mean, but basically, the house plus other assets would allow me to get quite a lovely inheritience. Assuming I get a job, plus that $, I think my loans wouldn't be an issue, so I think moving is feasible.

My mom has been talking about South Carolina for years now to move closer to her best friend in Beaufort, Nick is going to Virgina to culinary school, and Natalie's in Boston...so really I just have my dad who'd be here. As much as it'd kill me to move away, I definately wouldn't want to spend my adult life in Connecticut, however, I feel if I don't leave in the next 5 years, I may never move at all.

Thoughts?
