This post is for the Ladies Only, unless you're a male who is curious about the mysteries of menstruation, in which case I'm not going to stop you from reading the rest but you probably will learn things you didn't really want to know. Heck, some of the ladies may read it and find out things they didn't really want to know, but that is the hazard ( Read more... )

Obviously those of you practicing FAM birth control methods are more versed in these sorts of things, but you probably only have a vague idea of the answer to my first question of how much blood you actually expel.

Hahaha, this is dead on target.

Also, I might be interested in the large LadyCup... Let me do a bit more research on sizing?

Absolutely. Might I recommend this post to assist in your research? It is a post made of win.

I was JUST checking that post. :D

Ah, looks like the 'large' is intended for women with kids. Presumably, they mean women who have given birth vaginally. Bah.

I probably need a longish cup, tbh -- my cervix is generally so high as to be barely in reach if it's in reach at all.

What made you change away from the Diva, if I may ask?

"Large" is also for women 30+, regardless of children. *has a large* ^_^

XD Fair enough. I'm only 25, so. XD Otoh, I intend to have kids and turn 30 someday, LOL.

I dunno. Thoughts?

"Large" doesn't always mean "have had kids." LadyCup recommends that anyone 25 and over OR women who have given vaginal birth use a size Large, and it's not that much larger than a small Diva. It is a little bit bigger around, but because of the hole placement, has about the same capacity as a Diva. (You've probably seen my post with comparison pictures.) I was tempted to use the large Ladycup for my heavier days, but decided that since I'd already used the Diva, I'd leave the Ladycup pure and unused ( ... )

Mmmkay; I'll order a small Diva, then, to try it out -- it's longer and less wide than the large LadyCup, so if it fails in one or both of those two dimensions, I'll know which way to go from there. :D

Thank you for the advice. ♥
