freaky frequencies

Yesterday while my mom was driving us through Star Tollway going back to Batangas, I was switching radio stations cos the one we're listening to already had bad reception. A foreign-speaking DJ caught my ears and I listened closer on where it could be coming from.

The radio channel read, "Nur Islam" and I thought it might be from Mindanao, I was shocked it has reached Batangas! But I listened even closer and having gone to Malaysia a couple of times and stayed for weeks and months for vacation, I do know how Bahasa Malaysia sounds like and I swear, the DJ was speaking Bahasa!

I checked out the other frequencies to see if there were other naliligaw ones and "freaky frequencies" I'd like to call them, there were more!!!

There were two other Malaysian stations, one was called "Pilihan" and the other was MIRI FM! Miri is a place in Sarawak, Malaysia and that's where my dad is! O.o

For a second I was doubting whether we're in the Philippines or we're in Malaysia. Could we have driven on a secret magical highway that warped us to Malaysia that caused us to get the Malaysian frequency on our radio? *Twilight zone bgm here*

It was really freaky and I can't help to be fascinated, I tried to search for more stations and I got a Chinese one... listened further and I found out it's an HK station cos they played Cantonese songs though the DJs spoke Mandarin.... or could it be a Taiwanese station cos they spoke Mandarin and they just preferred to play a Cantonese song? Bu zhi dao! XD

But anyway, it was so weird. How could our radio get those frequencies from those countries when it can't even get good reception of the Manila-based stations?

Hmmmmmm.... My mom told me to let it go and the minute we got a station that played a tagalog song, she put up the volume.

I told her, "Mom, maybe this is a signal that I should go to Malaysia or to HK or Taiwan! They want me there!"

Haha!

haha, 재밌는 거~ ^^
