I think what needs to be issued is an official, not to mention mandatory, sleep deprivation week. Now, you wouldn't have to stay constantly awake, just sleep as little as possible. Today at work, a lot of the people were chatty and open. All of the people who were willing to talk beyond the usual "What would you like to drink with that" conversation wanted to explain how the events of their day occured thanks to a lack of sleep. When people are tired, there is more room for a connection on a common ground. If someone says "Sorry, I'm not all here today, I'm sleep deprived," I for sure can say "I know what you mean", and spin off from there. People can be too logical and uptight and fast-paced when they are rested. They can handle the expected rush around. But when you're tired, you don't care about expectations, or seriousness, or grave responsibilities. All I personally care to do when I'm tired is just sit and observe, and be awake in a dream so to speak. If everyone did this all at once, I believe that people would talk about things that actually matter. Then, after the week is over, the last day would be assigned for perfect sleep. All stores and businesses and manufacturers would be closed, and the entire world would be dormant for one day. The actual world has been awake for so long, I think it deserves a day of rest to handle our abuses on it.
Also, last night I has a dream about peacocks. They were at my cottage on the lawn, which looked larger than it actually is. There were five or six of them, and they all had their tails fanned out. All they could do was strut around the yard and act beautiful. There was more to that dream, but it doesn't really make sense. If its true that dreams are actually a gateway to your soul, then I am looking forward to meeting it in person when I die.
