I nearly slept in for work yesterday.
Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, except I start at 4pm.
I didn't even go to bed late! Two in the morning or something - so I actually slept for over 12 hours and I had to force myself to get up.
... There's something wrong with me. Really.
In other news, had a great brithday on Saturday. Had the day off cause Tmobile do that (aren't they a sweet ickle, soul draining, money grabbing corporation?), so me and Bobsy went up to Glasgow early and started on the cocktails. By the time Louisa came to meet us in Solid Rock after work we were pretty pished.
I don't know if I'm just around at the wrong times, but there's always a serious lack of good looking metallers in there. Guys I mean - you come across some gothy type girls who are almost painfully stunning. But the guys are all hiding on an island somewhere listening to Pantera and smokin pot... *sigh*
Anyway! After I got my awesome prezzys (wheee parasol! wheee GIN!) and we helped ourselves to a bit more Black Death, we headed to Jenns. She was planning a flat warming for her new place in the West End anyway, and it was Tom's birthday too, so off we went.
It was a grand night, though my god Jenn, you don't half consort with a few annoying people ~_^ Me, Lou and Bobsy, were our usual socially retarded selves and spent most of the evening in a corner talking about how shit everyone is. Especially those bloody English guys. Yuck.
... honestly, thank god for you guys. If I didn't have you, I'd be miserable and alone - as it is, I'm just miserable and amused ^_^
I had a Jenn and Cat made cocktail aptly named Chernobyl, the contents of which are still a mystery. Nearly got into an argument with some guy about the mating habits of the wild homosexual. And distinctly remember having a conversation about hating birthdays on the floor of the hall with Tom, while some other dude slept in his lap.
We decided not to crash at Jenn's, cause it looked like pretty much everyone else would too, so we went to Bobsy's sisters flat in the South Side (aka. Banglashields) which has been sitting empty since she and her hubby tottered off down south. It's awesome! And it had loads of food and electricity and a wicked shower too. Jackpot.
Apart from Bobsy spreading purple feathers everywhere from his feather boa, and Louisa setting fire to the cooker in the morning, oh and seriously traumatising our cute taxi driver with talk of STDs and burying newborns in concrete, we did ok.
Unfortunately, it was ramadan aswell, and seeing as Pollockshields is a pretty much entirely Indian community Bobsy got a nice airhorn/Bollywood wake up call in the living room. Fireworks and everything. It's interesting to walk down a street in Glasgow and feel like a minority group.
.... oh wait I always feel like that.
So we headed home and I got some more birthday money and spent the next three days doing sweet fuck all. Except occasionally being sat on by Hannah.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Today I dragged myself out of bed at one, after going to sleep at 5am. I'm desperate to get my new PS3 so I can play Oblivion forever, but I need to wait til I get paid -_-
So in the meantime, I watched all three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is seriously the most awesome cartoon show ever - I am freakin in love with Sokka and Zuko, and M Night Shyamalan is directing the film and it's gonna be so awesome I'm probably gonna die. So of course, that means I'm submerging myself in fanfiction, while watching all the episodes of Swat Kats I can find on youtube.
... god I have no life.
