When you came in, the air went out. And every shadow filled up with doubt.

Two posts in November!  I just barely squeezed it in there... less than one hour until December.

So everyone came home for Thanksgiving, which was great.  I knew I missed everyone, but I don't think I realized just how much I want them to all move home and be with me until now.  I can't wait until they all come back again for winter break.  It sucks not having them here right now.  But on the bright side... DECEMBER.  Superior to all other months for many reasons.  In fact, the point of all the other months is to build up suspense for the next December.

As an atheist, I couldn't care less about the religious shit that goes on during this month.  Birth of some baby that everyone loves, 8 days of oil burning... whatever.  The point is, the "Christmas season" as they call it, is amazing.  First of all... it's winter.  And if you don't already know that I love the winter... well, you must not know me very well.  Cold > Hot.  Always.

And it's not about the gifts, by the way.  I don't want anything this year.  I haven't asked for anything and I probably won't get anything except a little money to help pay for college when I go back.  And that's totally fine!  I'm excited about dreidels and gelt, decorating the Christmas tree, all the retarded and old holiday specials that play on TV every second of every day!  It's all great.

Also, I think people are nicer in December.  They're more inclined to give to charity, they smile at each other on the street.... it's lovely.  I know I'm in a better mood.  I hate my job, but for the past few days, I've opened the store humming Christmas songs and smiling because the decorations in Liberty Place make me feel good.  For at least a few minutes in the morning, I forget to hate things and I'm happy because it's the most wonderful time of the year.  But really.... it is.

If we could just throw Passover into December, that would make it perfect.  Actually, let's just switch Passover and Hanukkah.  Passover is better and here's why:  FOOD.  Maybe I should make matzo ball soup for Christmas this year.  I mean, who really cares if it's the wrong holiday?  It's fuckin awesome.

Anyway... December is my favorite month... and I just thought I'd share.
