Cold science, eh Conor?

So I had to move my orientation at Drexel up to this past Thursday and Friday (the 17th and 18th) because I now have a wedding to attend on the original orientation dates. So about getting oriented...

There were a lot of boring speeches (like hourrrrs worth of them) and they made us do stupid trust exercises in 100 degree heat with no shade. On the bright side, I made some friends. We ditched some of the stupid togetherness stuff to hang out and we ended up seeing a movie. We picked Get Smart. It was funny... even though we missed the first 20 minutes or so. Also, the Bridge (the movie theater on Penn's campus) is soooo nice. After the movie, we discovered a 24 hour diner that had pretty good fries. I also found the Ritz that I might end up transferring to. It's on 34th and Walnut, right by Starbucks.

Ohh, and I learned that I absolutely hate dorms. I'm very disappointed that I have to live in one next year. Public bathrooms are never a good idea. How are 30 or more girls supposed to share 4 showers and 5 sinks in the morning? That doesn't seem at all practical. Also, the rooms are the size of closets... and they don't include closets either. Where the hell am I going to put my clothes? I'd be better off living under my aunt's staircase like Harry Potter. The food was good though. Now I know why people get fat when they go to college...

Yep... I think that sums it up nicely.

Kelly and I are going to watch the Flyers scrimmage or something like that tomorrow so I have to get up early. I hate waking up before noon over the summer, but whatevs.
