high school
being with yunho is like being in high school all over again for yoochun. something about how safe yunho feels makes him really scared to get too close; it brings the teenage thoughts and insecurities he thought he had lost a long time ago.
because all yoochun has to offer is him, yoochun. yoochun who is filled with flaws and laughter, who has only homes that are gingerbread and experiences that are half remembered. yoochun always thinks 'when i'm older', and thinks that that is when he will have something more to offer yunho.
but days and months and years pass, and he finds that 'when i'm older' is really just 'when i'm young later'.
he finds that the only thing life gives him is yunho.
so it must be a good thing.
sunrise
sunrise finds him in yunho's bed (he can tell because there are way too many stuffed animals), trapped under thrown legs and hooked arms. yunho's got this habit of holding him really tightly when he sleeps, like he thinks yoochun is going to run away. yoochun doesn't say anything about it, doesn't want to guarantee that he won't. he rather leave him (and himself) in the dark than make a promise he can't keep.
but yunho, with his sunrise smiles and and close cuddles, make yoochun want to start making those promises.
dream
junsu watches their paris dvd with yoochun's puppy in his lap, letting the occasional smile sneak onto his face even when the other members are trying to torture him (changmin likes to make junsu look stupid, and yoochun likes to block him out of pictures). jaejoong smiles at the camera, saying that the only problem with junsu is that he can't control himself in paris. he rewinds, pauses, fast-fowards -- because he can't watch it in order.
he's already watched all the scenes with himself and he decided on watching yoochun's next (to get the bad stuff out of the way, he rationalizes).
yoochun announces that he's going to have a daughter('i really want to have a daughter, seriously'), which makes junsu raise his eyebrows (because he's never been told that before). junsu absently strokes the puppy laying in his lap, surprisingly still and perhaps half asleep. he glances down at it when yoochun explains that's why he has a puppy. ignoring the weird comparison of a girl and a puppy, junsu has a sudden urge to just -- hold and hug the animal.
the added pressure easily wakes the puppy and it moves in junsu's embrace. they walk to the kitchen together where junsu starts spoiling it, giving it the leftover steak tips that were supposed to be changmin's midnight snack.
"yah, you're going to spoil my dog."
yoochun finds junsu like that, sitting indian style on the floor watching his puppy explore the kitchen. junsu opens his mouth, wants to say something (but nothing ridiculous like, i wish i could have a daughter for you or can this be our baby? or even would you raise one with me too?) but is interrupted by yoochun.
"put her back and get to sleep."
and junsu knows that crushing on yoochun is probably the best thing that'll ever happen to Shongah.
