After today, I am not going to blow off this week's work. I have lots to work on before this weekend, because Austin is coming and many things are happening, so I won't have time to do them then.
There will be a concert/dance party at my house Saturday night. It will be a blast. We will have a theme that is TBA.
My (step) cousin had a baby a week ago. She isn't married, and didn't even know who the father was until the kid was born. (two potential fathers were white, the other was black. the baby is black.) The father is pretty much a deadbeat. You don't know my family, but I'm going to tell you that my grandparents are strict Catholics. So perhaps as you may now be able to imagine, this whole situation is causing quite an uproar in my family. Even besides the issue of the child being 'illegitimate', there is the fact that it all puts quite a burden on my uncle, who is a farmer and is pretty poor to begin with. I could tell you all the details, but it would take too long.
In other news, I haven't been to an OB meeting or a PEC meeting in a couple weeks, and generally only because I put off everything else for too long and end up having to finish work at the meeting times. Oh well.
