I'm a nervous driver, so one of the greatest things about working from home is that I made it through five winters without being forced to drive in the snow. So OF COURSE on my first day of training at the library, during the first week of spring, I woke up to this:
I didn't work until the afternoon so I thought it would be fun to take Luke out to play in the snow that morning. I had no idea how he would react. So before breakfast while we were still in our pajamas, I opened the front door and stood there with him just watching the snow.
This was a great idea. After standing there like a good little boy for approximately ten seconds, he decided to SPRINT OUT THE DOOR AND INTO THE SNOW. Wearing his pajamas. And one sock.
So I had to chase after him. Wearing my pajamas, and no socks.
But the good news is that he loved the snow.
We changed into more proper attire and then went out to play.
My mom watched Luke while I worked. My training shifts are only two hours, so it was NOT a strenuous day. I mostly filled out paperwork, met everyone, and took a tour.
I'm so glad we played in the snow that morning, because by the time we got home it was raining and now the yard looks like this:
